So I have a flattened two bar loop, little plucky piano sort of thing.
Right when it ends i want it to sort of echo/reverb/dissipate off, in the same fashion as if i let the loop play, and then suddenly stopped it, (with effects) it will echo and bounce off. and then comes in a couple bass noises, just in the intro.
No matter what effects I throw down right on the end whether they be delays, reverbs, etc. it just gets suddenly cut out at the end, when the loop stops, I can't get it to reverb or linger in any way at all.
Probably a quick fix, thanks!

thats because its now an audio loop so when the loops stops the audio stops,
create a new audio track and drop your flattened audio into that, for the bar you want to have a tail just unflatten it in the origional midi track

what if i don't have the original midi track? just the flattened audio. No way to make it echo or anything? that seems kinda odd...

You could always automate the wet/dry on a reverb or delay to catch the end of the last audio clip

Is there any way to display a list of every plug in you have running on a session like on the side bar or anything so you don't have to go fishing track by track?

You have to save the presets. Start archiving different sounds so you have an arsenal you can always go back to.

I have two 707 kicks layered on top of eachother in an instrument rack but whenever I try to add an effect to an individual kick as opposed to the whole rack it has no effect? Do I need to route it or something?

its only on random files in my library that worked fine on my last comp in ableton.
ive read some fixes for this that included . updating quicktime (weird but i guess it worked for some)
or go to any folder, select Tools>Folder options>View> and make sure "hide extensions for known filetypes" is UN-checked.
Reinstall QuickTime, that should fix your problems.

eek, accidentally touching the plug-in after it's been enveloped?
How do undo this, if i have an envelope and absent mindedly change the plugins settings directly rather than the envelope, the envelope goes gray and no longer has an effect. How do I undo this? Undo command does not undo it.
Also, let's say I have a snare sample, there is a bit of an initial swoosh before the click. How do I get this to be on beat while still keeping that swoosh at the beginning (keeping the swoosh pushed the sample off beat from the click)?
Say I have multiple instances of massive opened and a midi keyboard, how do I switch between which one I am playing notes in?

Adding to that (in case you didn't know), the arm button is that little clock-like symbol that turns red. It's where the record button normally is for audio tracks.

to add even more to that if you ctrl + click multiple arm buttons you can play notes in multiple tracks at the same time - useful for previewing sounds that span multiple tracks!

You can try clicking the "Back to arrangement" button that is next to the transport controls.
