More funny than irritating really. A friend "checked-in" herself at a restaurant at 1 PM saying she was having high tea. I corrected her in the nicest way but she still took offense saying, she only meant to say thanks to friends who were there. Bitch, they were right in front of you, say it, don't broadcast it.
With this, I'm going to have afternoon tea and biscuits. Milk? Don't mind if I do. Make it froth milk cos I (can) am Amerikkkkkkan. Bibbidi bobbidi boo.

I thought it was bad enough with people updating about what gig they'd been to, then it went to statuses about what they would be going to, now an automatic thing saying what they might be going to. For fucks sake does everyone really think that everyone else is so interested in what they are doing? And checking in seems pointless- you and the people with you know where you are and other pale dont really care.

Yeah, I just can't see why someone would think it's a good idea to tell all their Facebook contacts that they have just 'checked in' to a starbucks (or something equally mundane), I suppose if you're meeting people there it could be useful but that doesn't seem to be why people do it...do they really think that everyone will be interested to know every little detail of their day, even to the point of what they might do?!? I guess that's the sort of narcissistic jist of Facebook though, soon people will be telling everyone when they're going for a shit.

there's applications / software with just that purpose of checking in to markets, restaraunts, home depot , etc. and rating it. lol
