Eating a Hostess Cupcake... I brought a box, dig in! Not really breaky, but a good way to start your day (even though for me its 3:22am and more like lunchtime...)

Help yourself, theyre really good with milk!

crumpets aren't the same as a muffin kidlogic. we've got muffins here too. don't know how to explain the difference... suppose a muffins a bit more bready and crumpets have holes in them (bit like swiss cheese)

Nope. Those are called muffins in England. Crumpet = Crumpet. Enlgish Muffin = Muffin. Egg McMuffin = Wrong.

Muffin (US: English muffin)

muffins are split into two before toasted, and yes they are more bready etc.

crumpets are one side only and have holes and that in the top

i finds it very hard to find the right level of toastedness for crumpets though, all too easy to burn them, but a soggy crumpet tastes like shit as well

I see what you're trying to do here, but I think explaining crumpets holes via a swiss cheese analogy has the potential for creating further confusion.

To clarrify; Crumpets are similar to (English) Muffins but are less 'bready' and have holes in them, a bit like a golf course.
