The sub is sweet. It really helps you feel the bass instead of just hearing it. I cant go back to just the 8s by themselves. Plus it takes some work off the 8's so your overall volume can be louder without distorting.

And here's a little room rearranging - having the speakers in the corner was really throwing off the low bass frequencies, over hyping it. Got em in a much better spot now, it sounds SO much better. It was mucky before, now its very defined.

thanks for the reply :) I'll probably look into getting the sub over summer.

This set-up is non-operational right now:

Image

The MOTU 828 is an MK1 version, acting up with my MacBook, and I'm trying to sell of the AN1x. The EMU hasn't been on in years, but I want to get back to playing with it.

Pretty much do everything lately on the laptop on the left here:

And then here is the Dj set-up:

And extra records end up here somehow:

The 80's casio keytar we had (as pictured above) was only a midi controller also.

i think it's value came from being just a midi controller, i had to test it out before selling it and used it with reaktor, it's a damn sight more expressive that a flat keyboard controller...pitch bend modulation etc...as a guitarist it feels like this atleast

i have just moved my front room round but here's bits from a while back...no studio set-up...

my set up has since changed so i won't post those embarassing pics (set up on an ironing board...true story)...will have to post new pics of some stuff... these select bits are old

reel-ism...for analogue warmth on the mix down
