Allow that... I can buy a 2nd hand semi decent mixer for that price
(although, am a big piano fan... i shall buy it one day)
1. So everyone has asked you alot of musica related Q.s and i only seen one question (somewhere above) regarding Yoni, and not The Widdler. What's your background, where do you come from? Born and bred in the USA?
2. Beer or spirit ?
3. Healthy eater or junkie on the kebab shop next door?
4. What are your music influences ? Artist wise, what kind of music did you grow up with?
5. The intro to "just believe"My days, now that's how you say fuck you to the laid down structure. Was this sample based or written?
Plus 2nd drop on "Robodub"![]()
6. EMI said join as, we will make you into a commercial pop star (LOL) Yes or no ?
7. You have some wicked no dubstep music too ! (even a few house one's )
You're not obligated to answer them as some may be personal.
1. I was born in Tel Aviv, Israel and lived there till I was about 2. Moved to NJ and been there every since. I visit once in a while due to my whole family still being there.
2. Meh I don't drink much. I can drink beer easier than the hard stuff. I don't mind saying that the Mike's hard line is awesome. It tastes like a fresh summer day and gets you wasted, plus I love sugar. I DON'T CARE IF IT'S A GIRLS DRINK YOU INSECURE MEATHEADS! Sorry. I am just used to having to defend the drink as a male.
3. I want to be healthy, but laziness sometimes dictates what I eat. I would say it's about 50/50. I stopped drinking cola these past months after almost 5 years of drinking it. Small steps
4. Everything! I grew up with various types of music. My parents would listen to Israeli folk and pop stuff and eventually got me into Michael Jackson during my younger years. From there I started listening to more heavy and classic rock such as Queen and Metallica alongside more alternative rock like Presidents of the United States of America (still one of my favorite all-time bands). I eventually stumbled upon Enigmas album MCMXC which I fell in love with and is one of my alltime favorite chillout/electronica albums. I then got into more hip hop and bass music which is what eventually led to me finding/aking dubstep. Throughout the years though I have been enjoying it all, from the uber heavy like Suicide Silence to strictly no beat ambient stuff. Basically, if it sounds good, and gets either my feet dancing or my soul moving I like it!
5. The intro to Just believe is simply a sped up and dubbed out cut from the assasins creed soundtrack. I didn't intend to claim it as my own work persay , I put it as an intro to a tune with no intro so I could open with it as a first tune in Oakland. It kinda stuck in my head so I left it. If it is released I might have to change it up.
6. Nah thanks though.
7. Thanks! It isnt all about kick-1 snare -3 and 140 bpm... or is it..............
1. I see.
2. Hahhaa, that actually made me "LOL"
3. Indeed, small roads on the way to the big road.
4. Enigmas MCMXC... The sadness song, i fucking remember that ! Enigma is a legend, it had part one, two That brings back good memoires from when i was younger.
A friend played a trick on me when i was younger (this is a true story), you know on the intro to his sadness song, it has monks chants, (voices) well my mate, said to me if you listen to this song, you will get possessed
5. Nice...
6. Hehe...
7. Some of the stuff didn't even have kick or snare, no drums what so ever. Still tho, am a musical man, does need to be a drum beat always, lushness sounds will do.
Big up Yoni for taking part in this Q&A, the most participated Q&A thread i have been in, it was fun
