:o Send some over.... hehe. Man here can not afford £100+ for refills, abbey road pack is around 130/140 pounds... Allow that... I can buy a 2nd hand semi decent mixer for that price  (although, am a big piano fan... i shall buy it one day)

1. So everyone has asked you alot of musica related Q.s and i only seen one question (somewhere above) regarding Yoni, and not The Widdler. What's your background, where do you come from? Born and bred in the USA?

2. Beer or spirit ?

3. Healthy eater or junkie on the kebab shop next door?

4. What are your music influences ? Artist wise, what kind of music did you grow up with?

5. The intro to "just believe" :o My days, now that's how you say fuck you to the laid down structure. Was this sample based or written?
Plus 2nd drop on "Robodub" :i:

6. EMI said join as, we will make you into a commercial pop star (LOL) Yes or no ?

7. You have some wicked no dubstep music too ! (even a few house one's )

You're not obligated to answer them as some may be personal.
Check for a refill called "Electro Mechanical". It has awesome rhoads/wurli/clavi patches that sound genuine as hell. Anyways

1. I was born in Tel Aviv, Israel and lived there till I was about 2. Moved to NJ and been there every since. I visit once in a while due to my whole family still being there.

2. Meh I don't drink much. I can drink beer easier than the hard stuff. I don't mind saying that the Mike's hard line is awesome. It tastes like a fresh summer day and gets you wasted, plus I love sugar. I DON'T CARE IF IT'S A GIRLS DRINK YOU INSECURE MEATHEADS! Sorry. I am just used to having to defend the drink as a male.

3. I want to be healthy, but laziness sometimes dictates what I eat. I would say it's about 50/50. I stopped drinking cola these past months after almost 5 years of drinking it. Small steps :)

4. Everything! I grew up with various types of music. My parents would listen to Israeli folk and pop stuff and eventually got me into Michael Jackson during my younger years. From there I started listening to more heavy and classic rock such as Queen and Metallica alongside more alternative rock like Presidents of the United States of America (still one of my favorite all-time bands). I eventually stumbled upon Enigmas album MCMXC which I fell in love with and is one of my alltime favorite chillout/electronica albums. I then got into more hip hop and bass music which is what eventually led to me finding/aking dubstep. Throughout the years though I have been enjoying it all, from the uber heavy like Suicide Silence to strictly no beat ambient stuff. Basically, if it sounds good, and gets either my feet dancing or my soul moving I like it!

5. The intro to Just believe is simply a sped up and dubbed out cut from the assasins creed soundtrack. I didn't intend to claim it as my own work persay , I put it as an intro to a tune with no intro so I could open with it as a first tune in Oakland. It kinda stuck in my head so I left it. If it is released I might have to change it up.

6. Nah thanks though.

7. Thanks! It isnt all about kick-1 snare -3 and 140 bpm... or is it..............
Yes, the rhodes on the first patch ... :U:

1. I see. :)

2. Hahhaa, that actually made me "LOL"

3. Indeed, small roads on the way to the big road.

4. Enigmas MCMXC... The sadness song, i fucking remember that ! Enigma is a legend, it had part one, two That brings back good memoires from when i was younger.

A friend played a trick on me when i was younger (this is a true story), you know on the intro to his sadness song, it has monks chants, (voices) well my mate, said to me if you listen to this song, you will get possessed :o . I remember it, it was track 15 on the CD, and i use to skip it all the time, then once, i said fuck it am going to listen to it, listened to and i never stop listening to Enigma. Stupid friend. I don't get Enigma ideology tho, it's something to do with Christian and region and love. Powerful music tho. Amen ! :z:

5. Nice... :)

6. Hehe...

7. Some of the stuff didn't even have kick or snare, no drums what so ever. Still tho, am a musical man, does need to be a drum beat always, lushness sounds will do.

Big up Yoni for taking part in this Q&A, the most participated Q&A thread i have been in, it was fun :)
A brand new song!

I made this tune a couple days ago with sounds from The Widdlers - Acheri tune.

As asshole-ish as this is, it was actually quite interesting. I wouldn't give you credit as a producer as it's rather obvious you just took stuff from different songs and mashed them into a track, but in that regard you do deserve some props for that.

GUYS!!!!!! It clearly says that it is a MASH UP!!!

I am NOT trying to gain any kind of status or take any credit from The Widdler.

This "Mashup" was a complete accident that ended up sounding pretty clever.

My friend came over with the new Acacia Strain album "Word Worm" and told me to listen to it. I happened to be working on a tune at the moment so I just dragged the tune into Ableton out of curiosity to find out it was produced at 140. That alone spiked my interest to do something with the track. I wanted to see what it would sound like warped and mixed with a solid dub tune, so I grabbed the most recent download I made "Acheri, by "The Widdler". (It could have been any old dub for that matter). Any way I played it and the people in the studio at the time really got into it. So I took sections measures from Acheri and Acacia Strain and put them in what I thought sounded pretty well produced. I then added my own drums, synth, and 808 drops to give it that real metal feel. I made the synth out of the first guitar feed back intro on Acacias Strains first tune on Wood Worm.

Anyway, as time went on I thought I would call this a remix or Acheri, but then I became confused on how to even name it. I myself dont like mash ups but I had to make an exception for this one.

Thank you Widdler for inspiring me to spark the interest of all the Metal heads here in Orlando and turning them on to Dub Step.

Just to clear things up, renamed it the best I could. Hope this resolves any "hate" that has been sprung upon me..

Posting it a second time isn't going to reduce the beef dude XD It wasn't so much whether you were claiming it as your own work it was the fact that it had been done at all. Also putting your name on it at the end really doesn't make it better, your name shouldn't be there at all if it's a mash up.

Personally I'm not bothered any more as you have tried to apologise a few times now and I know you didn't mean to get flamed so please don't take this as me having a go. Just trying to make you see how best to approach the situation, which is now to just forget about it, don't post the tune again and don't mention it again cos your just perpetuating the bad situation. Maybe if you were to post it on another forum the response would have been different but you must understand that this is quite a cliquey forum and the production section in particular won't appreciate thins like that being posted. Even if it hadn't been a mash up and just one of your tunes it would still have brought hate on you because this isn't the right place to post tunes *anyway*.

Hope that makes things a bit clearer for you bud.

Yeah Para I get that this is a production driven forum. Even though it is technically a "Mash Up" I did a great deal of production on the track, this goes beyond two tracks melted together.

Anyhow I am over it.

Thanks for the constructive criticism.

Ill be back with some Originals asap.

I happen to think it is really creative and quite cool too. Being a fan of both genres it is a nice mash up.

In regards to my previous comment, I didn't really care that he posted it in a thread in the production forum at all, the "asshole-ish" comment was that he posted it in The Widdler's Q&A with the sole purpose of trying to get his attention. I know it's not really a whole lot different than maybe putting a track in your sig, but it does give a hint if inconsiderateness....if that's even a word.

The Widdler took the time to come here, and read literally every single post in a thread so as not to miss anyone's questions, and then put his time into answering those questions and explaining certain aspects of his own productions.

Probably would have just been better to PM it to him personally and then posted it up in one of the threads/forums made specifically for that. You would have been able to bypass a lot of this forum flaming. Just for the record, I actually did like it. It was interesting to hear these 2 genres together. Probably not something I be able to listen to a lot of, but every once in awhile it's cool to hear some stuff that's a bit more out there.
