@WIFE
thanks! the first song uses only guitar midis that came with logic studio tho i dont like using midis for acoustic instruments; i tried to make it sound real. and the second song was inspired by boards of canada :D it was part of a longer song [tried to make it sound like you were being abducted] but just took the melody from it :P

@wife-
i'd bring the levels down on the bells just a touch and maybe work on making your synth patterns more interesting.

@sqwabbles-
maybe a little compression/eq trickery to take that piercing high frequency out of your wobble? it would be damn painful on a big system. other than that its a nice noise.

@voodeedoo-
what daw/samples/synth are you using? SUPER clean sounding. now make a drum drop followed by white noise riser and start getting crazy, yes?

here's where i'm at... i need to do some more programming on the bassline, add a midrange bass noise(problem area) and work on song structure. pointers in these areas especially would be a HUGE help and i'd love any and all creative criticism.

The whole point of stereo is that the two sides are different. If both sides are exactly the same, you have a monophonic signal.

@sirminus: I really dig this melody and your bassline, I would EQ the bass down just a bit so it's not drowining everything out so much. Good work I'll check this out when it's done.

I'd feedback alot more but I have to go so I'll feedback upon my return.

@Kes-es Liking the pads and atmosphere created in the intro. The movement in the miderange bass sounds awesome. A few breaks in the bass with some other elements fitted in could make the drop a little less repititive/entertaining. The kick and snare could hit slightly harder imo, but really nice sounds produced overall though. (:

@arisemprex Wow, your track really stands out for me, been wanting to give the feedback for a while now. Really original, it sounds like prog rock mashed together with dubstep... both amazing genres. Guitar riff really adds to the drop, vocals are a nice touch but I preferred it without it imo, but that's just me. Solid tune mate, keep going with it. :m:

@donpablo Loving the general movement of the whole track. Not really much I can criticise about it... the sub, the beat, the pads, they all sound pretty immaculate to me.

Ok, now mine... still a fairly rough work, I know needs a LOT of cleaning up, particularly with some samples and such... I've been making too much dub recently...
Soundcloud
(oops, only just realised that my track's half empty, should still be a partially complete version)

@mexicankangaroo Thanks man, i appreciate the kind words, most of my songs have guitar, just love it. Kinda our "thing" idk. As for the vocals, im not so sure I want them either, but...a 3 man band is too much fun man >< and yes I said band....thats pretty much what we are going for...mashing up dubstep with rock...then playing it live guitar basses synths and all, lots of fun...in other news your track sounds good, id love to learn how to make some of those sounds lol.

@loud flavor - i like it, the 2 min mark stood out for me more though.

@dekay_1 - i used the esx24 sampler thingie in logic for most of the guitars, i used the EVP88 for the keyboards and mostly the rest [bass, pads] were done using the ES2. thanks for listening ^^ heard your track, live the drums and whatnot but i think the vocals are a bit flat. i like the guitars :D

@MexicanKangaroo
Drop was really cool but then gets a little bit too chaotic but nice tune.

@Kes-Es
I really like the tune, but too much detune ^^ for my ears

@Beardyman123
at beginning i liked the pad but later it gets to much. Piano melody is a little bit too easy.

here is my new version

@ karma - Very well produced track! I don't care for the vocals, but that is just personal taste. The only thing I'd add/change to this would be maybe a little more low end from the bass kick and possibly 1 or 2 more changes of drum patterns. Very very solid track.

@ akkep - You have some good ideas here... very spacey track. I would tone down the verb on the initial hi hat... since it is not synced on beat, it sounds like a dj train wrecking and draws focus on that instead of other aspects of the track. Are you adding any sort of lead synths to this?

@ kinskey - You have a good start here but I think you might want to track this all out so you can get a solid song structure.. I know you have an intro, but after that, the rest of it blends together. Since your drums kind of have a broken beat feel to them and you change the patterns of your bass it seems like a needle skipping... adding a buildup or break down would help between transitions better.. Hopefully that made sense =)

@ezeckial - not necessarily my flavor of choons, but you have a lot of nice sounds in there. That whispering vocal thing is far louder than the beef of your track, so first I'd turn that down. I would also get rid of a lot of the verb in the track and boost some of the mids and highs as it sounds a bit muddy. The track is solid, and I think it just boils down to your final mixing =)

@willryan - digging this track a lot! very chill.. great drum work, solid levels, solid sub. :D:

@kes-es - That sub is DIRTY.. not going to lie, I have 3/4 chub right now :6: very solid cut... I can imagine this being an intro/outro song on a mix. well done sir.

@akkep - very solid track. I would add some variations and break downs a bit more in the song... keep the listener guessing. Id like to hear the snare stand out a bit more, maybe layer a higher pitched clap behind it?

@sqwuabblesmynig - I cant help to love this cut so far... fun sample choices.. sounds like there is no sub? Very interested in hearing this when a bit more is done.

@Isturite - So far I like the idea..however, it doesnt seem like the acapella sits well in the mix. I cant tell if its just a mixing/eq issue or not, but the beat and the vocals are constantly battling each other. The beat sounds good (from what i could tell) but with the two clashing, its hard to focus on one or the other. Any way you could post just the beat?

@ Omni Kraut - So far so good, a lot of huge bass lines :D: The pad seems a bit high and makes it hard to enjoy the other goodies in the cut.

@beardyman - Solid drum work and MRB...seems like that subtle synth (35-1.00) is off key. The piano hit and soft pad is a nice touch.

@arisemprex - This cut sound real nice..solid production. Id love to hear this on its own without the vocals... not feeling the vocals at all, sorry :( I'll probably get hated on, but i think 99.99999% of dubstep MC's need to shut right the fuck up and let me enjoy the music (jungle mc's included).

My WIP is in my sig :D
WIP - Feedback would be appreciated

@wife - didn't you post this on finished tunes? anyways, I said before I like it... especially the intro, its builds up quite nice (the kick before 0:30 is awsome...)

@sqwuabblesmynig - flute is interesting :) I think you need more sub.. beat has a really slow-lay-back feeling - I would do something about but maybe its just my taste.. also the wobble is monotonic and too dominant so it gets quite annoying... I suggest you emphesize more of the lower Freq's of the wobble and drop down the higher ones.. good luck man

@Voodeedoo - WTF only the intro?? I was getting all warmed up... i love it... especially that old vinyl feel - it adds a lot.

Ok, I got these two tunes. you may be harsh on me, I don't mind :D I wasn't sure whether to put them under "finished" or not, but anyways, i'm not sure they're properly mastered, so.... here they are:
1st: posted it a long time ago (k not so long), but have done some major changes, so here it is:
Fat Cat - Morning Stars
Soundcloud

2nd: my first attampt on Trance music.. I'm actually not into that musicwise, but I love those nature parties so I thought I'd give it a try and i think it turned out quite well. working on it for 2 days now, so either I got holy-shit-quicker, or trance is freakin' easy to make. or my track sucks... well, anyway there it is:

@sirminus thanks for the feedback man! appreciate it, i'm glad you like it, will def work on maybe layering a low sine under my bassline? or just thicking up the original, thanks again, nice tune btw man, nice intro and build, diggin the basses, nice drum work also

@Fatach thanks as well for the feedback, i'm def gonna try and figure some way to get some sub up in there, and filling in the tune a bit more so it doesnt sound so slow and laidback as much, i def. know what you mean. appreciate it man. Nice nice intro my man, dope breakdown, i can dig this

Beardyman: Pretty accomplished for a beginner, I reckon if you keep at it this will be definitely more jam than marmalade (inside joke aha).

Fatach: Drop was really nice. I think your bass has too many mids to it though, and your sub isn't clear/loud enough. Bass drum lacks clarity too. I think bar production issues, this is a real nice tune.

Sirminus: talk about an intro!!!!! You obviously clearly know what you're doing. I feel your bass and snare could come up a tad to meet the definition you've given those hats. Apart from that this is pretty flawless man. LOVE it.

Omni Kraut: Some really lovely ideas here. Very unconventional (I LIKE THAT). Maybe a few too many low mids in those bases for me. Gotta be some thick low end sub and also some more high mid basses. But your sparse percussion is sweet. Maybe to finish it break it down again and come back and smash us in the face again at the end. Nice work.

Right, I've been working more on this. Still no-where near finished, but feedback is really genuinely appreciated. Its a big help.

@Debaser1 - love the swagger style :D looking forward to the finished version, i got pretty into it before it ended

@Fatach - i like the synths in the first one, tho i think they can get repetitive at times. the trance song was pretty good, old school sounding. it has the vibes and whatnot but i think it lacks a melody and a harder kick

this here's an old hiphop doodle i made a while back. i lost all my progress, but i started remaking it.

@debaser....I wasnt expecting that last minute to be honest. It was pretty damn cool, had me bobbing ma head. I would suggest you and more variation to the first drop though. I like it dont get me wrong, but im pretty sure you can make it better
