Yeah the're pretty great, I'd start with the 2nd, it's a perfect label sampler if ever there was one.

I love Villalobos more than life itself. My favourite producer and person who got me into dance music.

Enfants samples Christian Vander, main guy in the excellent and crazy French prog-rock group Magma, which is a plus.

Im pretty surprised that people here havent made the distinction between minimal (dubby) techno and the other new 'minimal techno' which we disparagingly call MNML.Minimal (dubby)techno for me = basic channel, maurizio, substance+vainquer, deepchord, rod model, echospace, monolake, Octex, Gas, Yagya + anything on the chain reaction label. Eternal stuff. All dubstep heads take note esp burial fans. Alot of people are forgetting that Basic Channel(the absolute masters of dubby techno) stopped making techno in the mid ninties and have been making some amazing dub reggae as Rhythm & Sound ever since. Hell even Burial was asked if he was Basic Channel in one of his first interviews.

what people call minimal/MNML these days is glitchy NI * Abelton crap _> pat pot etc etc. I dont rate it. And i'm suprised so many people are linking to it on this a dubstep forum!

Other good minimal techno (not dubby now) would be the stuff on Sahko records & anything by Robert Hood. I'm a massive fan of the UR & Detroit techno too. Theres a bit of resurgence happening atm. Exciting times.

Here is something extremly special for you. Its 2 1/2 hours long. But its an amazing journey into electronic dub/dubby techno with some dubstep. No boombastic shit thank god. ;)

Some absolute classic stuff in that mix^^^ Nice one.
Im a real Detroit fan at heart, been hoping for a resurgence for years.
I think people like Andy Stott & Claro Intelecto are carrying the flag.
Ive been through a period of liking some modern minimal stuff but it's starting to bore the hell out of me, especially if you compare it to what has gone before it.

You're making a bit of a false distinction if you think that Vladislav Delay and Ame are good but modern minimal isn't (when they are big in that scene).

I dont know what you are getting at dude.

Relax. I'm just making the distinction between what I personally would call minimal techno (most dubby stuff from the mid ninties) and the 10000000s of samey glitchy boring MNML records which seem to be around today. There are plenty of exceptions to the rule but way too much chaff for me.

I don't think minimal techno is the same thing as dub techno at all. Rob Hood and Basic Channel aren't exactly similar.
I like a lot of Dub Techno and that mix looks really good, but I think writing off all modern 'mnml', is pretty stupid, there's loads of good stuff. If you are expecting BC and the like you might be disappointed, but to dismiss it all as 'gitchy ableton crap' is silly.
I would cite Pan Pot as good example of modern minimal though, so I guess we're probably gonna disagree.
Oh and nice one putting Gas on that list, I love his stuff, and no-one seems to know about it.

ah. its not by me its by Octex.

re MNML. Yeah sorry I was being a bit dismissive sorry. I dunno whenever I have been told x & y are great I have always been dissapointed for some reason. I downloaded some pan pot liveset expecting it to be amazing but it just left me empty. Same for any mnml mix i have ever downloaded really.

Anyone want to prove me wrong & give me a link to something decent?

I suppose dubby techno is its own niche, but as far an non-dubby-minimal-techno  goes you really cant beat Robert Hood.
