Pretty funny to see how in the thread I made back in march or whenever the first 10 pages are arguing about what to call this type of sound and now in October the names settled and pissed off people trying to be funny are making parody tracks. Pretty sure thats a sign it will be around for awhile

Trap...has been around for years & years...? are you dumb?

It's funny how people like you think it's a new genre and your hipster ass thinking you own it.

Bitch please.

No, not the $150 beats. The mixtapes you can buy in your gas station.

Not sure Madrid has a trap mixtape scene, though I'll have an ask at the weekend and see if anyone looks at me strangely.

Still would like one of these gas station mixtapes though...how much do they cost and when shall I Paypal the money across?
i realize you're trying to chat shit and look like a tough guy on the internet.

I linked above the intervention mixtape which I said was a prime example, linked a track off of slim thugs mixtape from last year and also recommended the datpiff site which literally has thousands of the mixtapes I'm talking about. you can also get mixtapes off hotnewhiphop

I typed up a big old rant but then I decided It wasnt worth it.

I personally did not fly down from music heaven and gift the sound the name "Trap".
I am saying that stuff like Rusite, TNGHT, Hudson mowhawk and so on had no real classification for "genre" back when I made the thread and now for some reason it is now called Trap, I dont know why? I wish It wasnt as 90% of the stuff pkay puts up sounds nothing like what I listen too.

Does this:
(came out in 2009 might I add)

Sound ANYTHING like what pkay has suggested?
People have started making stuff like the above and its getting really popular, It not my fault Trap has become the name for it, lord knows id call it NeoGlagowjuke if it helped get away from these pointless arguments

But hey If there are songs like the above made that have been made by people 10+ years ago feel free to link me :Q:

Why the fuck I bothered responding to a guy called "daeMTHAFKNkim" with a parody trap song (properly tagged no less  ) and a Brostep song on his soundcloud I dont know.

What part of me asking for you to buy me something and offering to pay for it constitutes acting like a tough guy?

You said you could buy beat tapes in gas stations. I collect beat tapes. Hence why I asked you to buy me one.

personally i really like the vibe that "trap-style" or whatever the shit we're calling it adds to a track (cutted hi-hats, gangsta ass bass hits etc), but i find the actual formula for those tracks really cookie-cutter and boring. Hope that instead of becoming the next brostep or what have you, that people just pull influence and ideas and vibes from it, and incorporate it into the shit they're already doing. I wouldnt hate on dungeon/cella trap sounds hahah

Aloneinthedark - that is so far from Trap it's funny.
Not a bad tune but why say it has trap sounds just because you have a running high-hat or snare?
Loads of us are doing this now.
