That would imply proper journalism and investigation into it, and then if true, making the mass populace aware. I don't see that happening on traditional western media channels, the net maybe, but even stuff like wikileaks did little to change policy and is essentially old news now.

^ Yes. The juggernaut has too much mass and momentum and can not only squash stories not to its liking, but actually create them simply by directing the public's gaze wherever it wishes. "LOOK OVER HERE! THERE'S NOTHING TO SEE OVER THERE. NOW EAT A CHEESEBURGER."

Picture the entire middle east as a glowing green expanse of radioactive glass...

It's a classic diversionary tactic, just look at Sandy Hook. Gun control... no clearly it's violent video games that are killing people! Ignore the issue at hand and look at this new shiny thing until you forget!

"Gamers have got to just quiet down," Yee told the San Francisco Chronicle in an article about video games' place in the gun violence debate. "Gamers have no credibility in this argument. This is all about their lust for violence and the industry's lust for money. This is a billion-dollar industry. This is about their self-interest."

Check this out: wonder if the Pentagon is planning on deploying these...
Area 51 Batplane Caught On Video

Image

A super secret airplane filmed over Area 51 in Nevada looks more like something out of a Batman movie than Jane's Defense Weekly. The image here was caught on video by a man who lives near Groom Lake, Nevada, and has a remote cabin situated near the landing strip for the Air Force's research and development complex.

Damn it with how common HD cams and such are now why does every UFO or conspiracy type deal have some dated looking photo or video evidence that seems like it could be mocked up in someone's garage/backyard/bedroom.

Because they're shot on 'HD' phone cameras with a 1cm lens and digital zoom from hundreds of metres?

Looks like an f18 from underneath, with like an 8 yo's fantasy accoutrements strapped to it.

Doesn't exactly look aerodynamic either. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a shot of a Macross model.

There has been so much going on. But this is up there:

Russian nuclear bombers intercepted near Guam

http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013 ... -near-guam
Two Russian bombers, capable of carrying nuclear cruise missiles, circled the U.S. island of Guam in the Western Pacific this week, U.S. military officials told NBC News. U.S. Air Force F-15 jets scrambled from Andersen Air Force Base on Guam to intercept the bombers.
According to one military official, the Russian Bear bombers remained in international airspace, the encounter between the U.S. and Russian aircraft “stayed professional” and there was no incident. The official said it’s impossible to determine whether the Russian bombers carried any nuclear weapons.

U.S. long-range radars and satellites tracked the two bombers as they took off from northeastern Russia and headed south on a long-range flight that required “multiple refueling.” Japan also scrambled fighter jets as the bombers passed near but did not enter Japanese airspace.
U.S. military officials say “it’s highly unusual but not unprecedented” that Russian bombers would fly training missions in the vicinity of Guam. According to one official, “It wasn’t provocative but it certainly got our attention.” U.S. long-range B-52 bombers, also capable of carrying nuclear weapons, are based at Guam.
Since Vladimir Putin reclaimed the Russian presidency, U.S. officials said the number of such flights in the vicinity of the Aleutian Islands and Alaska have increased, but encounters with U.S. aircraft have remained “generally very professional.”
The two Russian Bear bombers flew near Guam at about the same time President Barack Obama delivered his State of the Union message. Military officials refused to speculate about the timing.
The interception was first reported in the Washington Free Beacon.

'The official said it’s impossible to determine whether the Russian bombers carried any nuclear weapons.'

has to be a lie in order to drum up anti-russian fear

modern fighter jets surely have the capability to detect nuclear weapons

sure its the same with all submarines and battleships too

They could lie either way, though, right? Leaving it ambiguous lets casual news consumers decide. If you fear the Russians, they're loaded with bombs, Russians are our friends, they were full of roses.

The fact that they would do this around one of our fixed haarp arrays during the prez's state of the union, then a few days later during a g20 meeting held in Moscow addressing the currency war, something falls from the sky, exploding over the Russian Los Alamos ... is a bit odd.

For a country that hasn't ever been invaded, US citizens seem pretty paranoid about invasions.
