the amount of wasted blank space is probably my biggest complaint. its an issue in a lot of places, but at least its an issue thats relatively easy to fix

The savage colors, massive waste of space, lack of any contrast... The whole thing is pretty poor from a useability standpoint.
Pro silver isn't flashy looking by any means but at least it doesn't impinge on the content of the forum. It does the job of filling your screen with the text that people write, having the options and functions of the forum clearly encapsulated and defined visually, and doing it without assaulting your eyes or wearing out your scroll wheel. Functionally speaking, it's quite excellent but aesthetically it's rather bland.

The new theme has potential to be quite attractive assuming they offer an alternate color scheme and take all of those design principles into account. Tightening up the spacing, trimming all the fat, and adding some contrast increases the useability exponentially.

All the new younger brostep type posters will probably really like the hype colors and oversized text though, and they're the ones most likely to click the ads, so I can understand the design decisions. It might turn some other people away, but as long as there's an alternate like Grandad's #Truhed Creme Theme 2013, people will be able to choose between hype and classy.
