For free synths, I use P8 heavily. It got even better when I figured that I should turn the resonance on the lp filter up to give it a sharper sound. Also Synth1 is great. Pterosaur is great if you want to use 4 oscillators at a time. I generally stick with simple, uncluttered synths that will just feed me a basic waveform. I prefer to utilize effects and not have to go back to the synth's gui to adjust the sound. I like the way the effects chain is set up in Renoise and it's so much faster for me to work with that than going back to the synth. I even do detuning and vibrato with effects.

As for a heavyweight payware synth.... this seems like the kind of overkill you're looking for?

Having a donations part on your websites a good idea, think alot of people like to donate abit of money to the developer especially if your product(s) are quality (altho i do wonder what happend to jack dark) ... Also if you offer free updates people would pay for it.. I think thats one thing the cracked community miss out on, Official Advice and Updates.

@artie : Lol at that , the name reminds me of an american reality show, like how you need 1920x1200 is required to display the Ultimate Extreme HD Edition fully on screen. But unlike Sunnys, doesnt have FM , altho does have 28oscs lol

1-Sylenth
2-Zebra 2
3-Reaktor

Massive is definitely my favorite synth. It has sone visual drawbacks compared with newer plugins like Razor or zt3a (waveform / frequency display), but it has all the features I need for leads and basses
