Got my copy yesterday from Rough Trade on Brick Lane. Was astonished to find that it was picture discs version!

Have bought every Dmz release as it came out since Neverland. Never thought there'd be a Dmz lp. Music to help me thru the hard times and to celebrate the good times. Give thanks, bless up Mala.

yeh i was a disbeliever

considering the amount of bullshit thats been spouted about this record though, im still skeptical that my copies are actually real and its not all an elaborate hoax

Apparently the first 200 pressed were picture discs and they went everywhere. Note, thats first 200 pressed not pre-ordered!

No skips on my copy, one of the cleanest pressings ive listened to of any record, ZERO surface noise. Recorded it through the first play of every track. now it sits on the shelf for those special occasions (or until i hurry up and buy a second copy).

as I understand it, these were secretly allocated to all shops so there's no place you can go to to guarantee getting one. As someone posted above, I think there were just several hundred sets of the picture discs pressed.

I think it's a beautiful thing that Mala has done - a secret little gift that was completely unannounced, a piece of serendipity for those that receive them.

It's like finding a Golden Ticket. Only I didn't get one. Might employ the Augustus Gloop method...
