Looks like it's QTE heavy, and more like Uncharted than Tomb Raider.

The combat looks really cool (heard it's like Sleeping Dogs but better) but the boss fights look really lame. Is that fair?
Asylum and City had both good and bad boss fights. The Scarecrow levels from Arkham were ridiculously well done, but they dropped the ball on the Bane fight IMO...and the final battle against Joker was just stupid.

Likewise, in City I had more fun with the SPOILER Ra's al ghul /SPOILER boss fight than I did with the final boss fight against SPOILER Clayface...also Clayface, WTF? /SPOILER.

I've got the game to the point where I've done all of the main story levels, and am up to 330-ish on the Riddler trophies and stuck on the penultimate hostage room.

The Scarecrow levels are some of the best gaming this generation in my opinion, especially that opening build up to the first encounter as you walk down that hallway. That scene alone solidified this game as a bonafide classic for me.
I make music as Forsaken, you can DL all my unreleased (and a couple released) bits here.

And yeah the Joker fight is such a stupid anti climax, you'd expect Rocksteady to be so much more smart than from the game preceding it.

I'd go with that...from the gas hitting to the screen blurring to the flashback it's all ace.

But tbh it's probably the best boss fight by a looooooooooooong way...can't think of another one that even comes close? Poison Ivy is a bit too weird, Solomun Grundy was just out of place as there was no mention of him up until that point...even the Joker fight in City was pretty poor all things considered.

Ah. I saw a video of the Bane boss fight which is pretty much what I based my opinion on. Seemed a pretty boring looking 'wave after wave of attack, dodge stuff, then kill them' kind of boss. But the rest of the game looked quality.

Tomb Raider sounds/looks great but I hate those fucking QTE things. Who decided that that makes a game more 'cinematic?' And do they know what cinematic means? I guess it's such a subjective term.

Wow, I read about that Braid game here.. that's absolute shite.
I'm genuinely confident my 90 year old grandma can design a more appealing game.

Anyone know about some other 'small' games? Something I can play on a macbook preferably.

^ Spelunky maybe?

I started playing Dragon Age: Origins again. I bought the Ultimate Edition about 2 years ago which came with Awakening and every single other dlc pack so I still haven't finished it all. Such a massive game.

I'm playing NI No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Its quite good. Rich story, hand-drawn graphics, good voice acting, ect. I highly recommend it if you are a fan of JRPG's.

I love the new metal gear. Combat is very hard but very rewarding and just fun. Story is typical nonsense tho. In a cool way. Playing VR missions on mgshd now
