i was a bit vexed when last night we held a party that we had been promoting for like a month beforehand on facebook, putting out posters even going to the radio.. things looked good a lot of people attending on facebook and shit... come the night, pretty much no one came.. well we almost broke even so it's alright but it's like a curse every fucking time i'm involved in party organizing things go tits up and no fucking one comes.. maek me very sad

the saddest/most humiliating thing was when we had this guy dullatron (pretty good dungeon producer imo, look up his tracks on youtube) come all the way from helsinki, he had a pretty good MC with him too, perform to literally an empty floor.. i was so embarrased and pissed off about the whole thing.. i don't feel like putting up parties at all anymore. shit is wack

also, dullatron is really sick, heard em last year on distance's new talent. a fucking shame what happened. i'm sure he doesn't really blame you though

i'm sure he don't.. we actually talked about it as i went up on stage to apologize him and his mc and he understood the whole situation and was okay with it. still played the whole set through lol what a trooper!

i don't actually use facebook so i was pretty impressed and didn't really know it don't mean a thing..

And never overlook the value of a good promo mix. Just a 30min or so taster of what sort of sounds you'll be playing, you can even overlay a couple of voiceover bits where people get reminded the name/date/venue of the party.

yeah good ideas mate! but im pretty sure that if really for bigger places where people actually make a choice about coming

in here there's no really alternatives.. the odd bass music event happens once, twice a month. and it's always drum and bass or bro so in this case i think it's more about people knowing fuck all about the whole thing and being just too ignorant to come.

btw we actually had a ton of mixes. might as well post 'em here while i'm at it so at least somebody can enjoy em!
