in here there's no really alternatives.. the odd bass music event happens once, twice a month. and it's always drum and bass or bro so in this case i think it's more about people knowing fuck all about the whole thing and being just too ignorant to come.
Is it a case of the venue then being too large for what you're trying to accomplish e.g. maybe scale back to a smaller venue and create a more intimate vibe and take it from there?
topmo3 wrote:btw we actually had a ton of mixes. might as well post 'em here while i'm at it so at least somebody can enjoy em!

no mate i believe it's just a case of ignorance. for example if people see that poster and don't really know anything about dubstep or bass music, it doesn't really get their attention. tbh it's actually pretty exclusive when you look at it, the event's name in huge letters, then the dj's and below that, in tiny letters something about dubstep garage etc.. it could work in bigger places where there are more people into the whole sound and who know their stuff. but in here, i'm pretty confident i know practically everyone into bass music. that being told, i heard the local almost-monthly drum and bass club gets about 150 ppl attending. who knows what we really did wrong.
but what the hell it's all water under the bridge
thanks for checking the mixes out!!

Trap it under a glass, bit of paper/magazine underneath it, then put it outside.

the saddest/most humiliating thing was when we had this guy dullatron (pretty good dungeon producer imo, look up his tracks on youtube) come all the way from helsinki, he had a pretty good MC with him too, perform to literally an empty floor.. i was so embarrased and pissed off about the whole thing.. i don't feel like putting up parties at all anymore. shit is wack
be glad you're not paying $1000+ on flights on top of the fees

RIP Siecento. Had so many good memories attached to this car. Raves, skate trips, missions to clubs, missions to no-where in 2 feet of snow etc.

The acapella of 'Lose yourself' is totally off in the mythbusters ad. How can they fuck it up like that?
