I sort of see why they cut the puzzle side of it out with it being a young Lara learning the ropes but it is a bit of a let down on that side of things. For me the game is good though and one i want to complete,i put games down far to easily if they don't float my boat so yeah its decent enough.
Figured they were going after the Uncharted market... and with all the QTE, mash key to not die shit I've seen in previews can tell it's not for me.
These reboots to appeal to the mass fanbase that seem to ignore the original core base they built up with IPs is starting to become a very irritating trend.
it's the way of life now days, devs seem like they always want to appeal to a wider audience. same with music if you ask me.
look at skream, he used to make some amazing music, now he's gone to making complete shit coz that's whats apparently big.
take a look at skreamizm 1 & 2 amazing, then take a look at skreamizm vol 7 utter waste.
doubt i'll ever buy a skream track ever again tbh which is a shame as that's how i feel bout most producers nowdays.
even tho not alot of output i'm glad silkie, quest, heny, mala and the likes still make quality for the people.

ARGHHHH this is why they justify isolating core audience!

Yea, was disappointed with it. It had loads of potential, but some of the abilities and design choices just dumb the game down too damn much.
This is what I'm worried is happening to Thief especially after reading the whole article.
always love some of the wonky bugs you can find in arma

Heh you've obviously never experienced the joys of ATVs in Arma 2
Some of the guys I usually play with on here in DayZ and such can attest to me (and them launching some to the moon) both with and without us on them just by trying to cross say a bridge

Personally I want a reboot and a modern interpretation of the thief game rather than a sequel hampered by three games of lore, dated mechanics etc.

wait are you calling stealth dated?
Thief had mechanics perfect for stealth.
I don't want the handholding bs, i can''t solve a puzzle bs included in most modern games.
I want a damn challenge again.
stealth is about stealth, not abilities, not about scores, about figuring shit out on your own no objective arrows.
pure puzzles, simple mechanics without shortcuts where if you screw up you start all over again, aka a challenge.
why ruin thief?
it had a damn good setting and gameplay, damn near perfected stealth
I predict that because they are not calling this Thief 4, you will get this gen of gamers calling this a Dishonoured clone rather than the opposite.

Single player games are boring for me now. I play Team Fortress 2 every other day...this consists of me owning people and then taunting like a 15 year old. I'm ~28 and it feels good.

I thought this when first played it, but after playing it for a while, I think it's on par with source. Although the p90 is stupidly powerful and they've made a tnuc of the deagle. Needs Cbble back too, and 1 flash is just wtf

New Tomg Raider is fucking awesome, never liked the series but this exceeded any expectations I could've had. Also getting extremely keen for Total War: Rome II
