I parked my car along this road to go uni, pretty shitly parked but nothing too bad, popped into my friends house on the road i parked on for like 30 mins then went uni. Went to library for like 3 hours then came back to car, when i got there it had moved like 10 feet and was now up on the curb with stones under the wheels to stop it moving and there was a police car flashing red just in front, as i got in the car the police drove away.
Now i really don't have a clue how it moved but several possibilities: 1.) i left handbrake off and it rolled forward so someone (police maybe) pushed it onto the curb. But how did they steer it onto the curb and why did the car stay still while i was in my mates house? 2.) somehow the police or someone got into the car and moved it as it was parked badly (wasn't terribly parked) but why wouldn't they put the handbrake back on instead of blocking the wheels.
No damage whatsoever to it and nothing stolen and i had my ipod on full view, i really dunno what the fuck happened haha might ring the police tomorow to ask.
Edit: one of those bullshit spotted pages just posted this: 'To the owner of a ford first, reg LD02 VMW, parked on Tiverton, your handbrake has come off and your car was rolling into Bristol Road. The police came and decided not to tow it. It's been pushed it back onto the pavement now and had some stones wedged under it so that it doesn't roll away again. Maybe sort your handbrake out...' mystery solved haha

I once described this song as a drive-by stabbing.
I was right.

I wouldn't have ever heard of Pig Destroyer if it wasn't for Aaron Spectre. They're fucking awesome.Genevieve wrote:

Wow, office is a ghost town today. Stuck here 'till 6, then I'm stoppin by ABC, grabbin some whisky and hittn up the studio. Usually I spit out a track in 2-3 days. The one I'm working on now has been a wip for 6+ days now, hopefully I'll finish it over my 3 day weekend.

Yee, once my workflow builds up I don't really stop it. So far my only exception to this was Sample Pack Comp 39, which took about a week. I started smokin bud again a few weeks ago, maybe that's why I'm being so picky with this one. How much time you normally sinkin in to em?AxeD wrote:A track in a few days? Shit. My last tune took a month. I'm sinking about 24 hours into my tunes or more.

Each to their own, but that's far too long imo - must be a right ball ache.Soul Of Seun wrote:Shit. My last tune took a month. I'm sinking about 24 hours into my tunes or more.
What do you do for 24 hours? there is only so much tweaking and editing you can do.
I would say i give up on most ideas, so to actually make a track takes 3/4 20 minute scrapped ideas to every 2 hour track finished.
I find Maschine helps get ideas down fast - its really just the mixing that takes any real time.

Well I'm spending like 2-5 hours just creating syths with Massive alone. I'm very scatterbrained and unimaginative. It'll take me 5 hours + or a 2-3 days just to create a peak, then build my track intro, drop 1, drop 2 outro. That takes another 2-3 days, or 10 -15 hours. I don't have a problem creating melodies, but synths and "wubs" take quite a while for me to build. And then I tweak it forever until it sounds half decent. And I'm STILL unsatisfied with my wobbles and such.
And Mixing? Forget it. I hear a great discrepancy between a track on FL and an exported file. SO I constantly, export, listen on my ipod with headphones, scrap it and mix it down again until I get it right. And It still sounds very amateurish to me. I don't have a Midi keyboard either. Just a laptop and headphones.
