Re: Working Out....
Yeah, I think I'm going to have to tailor my whole routine. Only half the amount of free weights so I may have to turn into a hoarder on busy days.
Re: Working Out....
My gym is pretty well equipped tbh, I'm finally back to where I was before going to Dimensions and Outlook. Coming back from there, I was so fucking weak

Re: Working Out....
Maximum weight bench/squat/deadlift

Re: Working Out....
ah right, I don't know what my maximums are. I've not done squats in a while, the last time I did them I got piles, not sure if that's what caused it or not but I don't wanna go through that again, very sore.
Deadlift, I could definitely do 90 once, not tried anything heavier and bench is probably 90 as well, but I tend to do 3-4 sets of 10-12 reps, not looking to bulk at all.
edit - my chest is actually really weak at the moment, I can't seem to progress, no matter how hard I try

Did you take it literally when they said push through your ass
Re: Working Out....
are you meant to clench or something? I was doing them down to my ankles and next day, it felt like a bunch of grapes hanging out my arsehole.
Your avatar sums up my reaction quite well.

sorry, that sounds horrible but I'm also intrigued. What did ya do?
Re: Working Out....
Google image search 'haemorrhoids' if you want some fun. I had to get this cream and use a tube to squirt it up into my bum hole every day and eventually they went away.

Re: Working Out....
my current take on optimal exercise after all of my years experience are the following bullet points
-commit to both strength training and cardio regularly, split in different days, back and forth days work well
-when doing cardio, shoot for anaerobic at least once a week
-stick to compound exercises within strength training
-do not exceed the 45-55 minute mark
**-take a rest day after every workout day (on/off system) *this works best for me personally because I train hard, and require sufficient muscle rebuilding, but if you slack off during your time, you may wish to consider consequent days**
-do heavy weight within strength training, keep reps low and bring weight up when reps become higher
-protein powder is useless ONLY IF you do not meet your daily requirements of protein from real food
-time of eating makes no difference, as long as you meet requirements by end of day
-eating before bed will not make you fat
-if you are hungry, eat
-all depending on your goals; speed, strength, size (cigarette), will determine the specifics of actual diet and exercise

Re: Working Out....
also, eating small meals throughout the day to speed up your metabolism has been debunked
Re: Working Out....
I've got mates who still do this, after I've shown them it's false. One is into carb cycling too, he thinks it means he can cut and bulk at the same time but I think it's a load of rubbish.wobbles wrote:also, eating small meals throughout the day to speed up your metabolism has been debunked

Re: Working Out....
I'm not so sure either way about the validity of carb cycling, honestly it sounds like fabricated science, but (and I would never do this myself because it's absurd and unnecessary for myself) intermittent fasting seems to be giving people results that you speak of.
Hell, a guy with some stupid blog called leangains developed a certain 18-6 hour method which is essentially called the leangains method, where if you ate dinner at 8, you wait 18 fucking hours until your next meal, and if you are to exercise, to do it just before this meal. And then you can eat for that 6 hour window, until 8pm when dinner would again be over, and again you go to bed a miserable fuck who is partially starving himself. But they say it may lengthen your life, without any actual scientific proof mind you, but still, it sounds intriguing.
