If I had a quarter for every time someone said "Elitist" on this forum, I'd be a rich.

Nice one, Benton is up for the next JLD aswell, glad to see Construct still pushing the deeper sound, it was mainly brostep and glitchier stuff for a while there.

I understand that you might not be completely blown away if you hear the Goat Stare, but If people get bored with Badman VIP after 10 seconds I honestly doubt that dubstep is the right genre for them.
When I share traditional stuff with friends who are into Brostep I almost always get a "I waited the whole track for the drop and it never happened" response.
I hate that shit so fucking much man. I feel like most people aren't as musically intellectual (As pretentious as that sounds) as we are, they're comfortable with whatever is shown to them and care not to delve into a particular sound to explore it for all it has to offer, thus, brostep fans are conceived, and shamefully not aborted.
But, I must note, I'm all for someone who has thoroughly researched the sound of traditional 140 music, and really gotten to know the artists and the over all sound, but decided on the fact that they like brostep more, that's fine with me. It's just the people who won't even give the traditional deep dark sound the time of day and turn there back on it at a first listen, that's frustrating. It's just not commercial sounding enough, and they can't understand the concepts and techniques of space and minimalism in music. The kids that can't grasp something if it's not particularly catchy and flashy.
Who gives a fuck what people listen to really? I know all the shit about people thinking Skrillix is the definition of dubstep but in reality it doesnt effect your enjoyment of the music in any way.
Musically intellectual? Whats to say you or we here are more musically intellectual than people who listen to anything else? Music is subjective, and is supposed to be something you enjoy, some people enjoy different types of music and some arent as interested in music as we would be it doesnt mean they are any less 'musically intellectual' than us, thats fuckin stupid.
Someone who has thoroughly researched the sound of traditional 140 music? ITS A FUCKIN MUSIC GENRE NOT A SUBJECT IN SCHOOL. You make the whole thing sound like a fuckin chore, music is supposed to be enjoyed.
Its comments like that that how fuckin ignorant some 'real' dubstep fans are, and the funny thing is they show their ignorance whilst saying how ignorant 'brostep' or whatever fans are.

^^ This. Don't understand why we argue about this. If you want to have a go at bro's go ahead but we shouldn't give it the time of day in our own community

No! It's just started to get good again with the Skrillex meme. Don't ruin it.
