the world really not helping my paranoia today. landlord wants a bank statement to "see what bank i am with" and someone i was talking about making a satire of his website just followed me on twitter. so on edge rite nao.

If you're sharing a router with him, no, because your traffic still has to get from the router to your laptop on the home network... but honestly, snooping on people's internet use without access to their PC is actually a fair bit harder than most people assume.

If you're not sharing a router and you're paying for your own phone line/connection then just make sure you're not advertising an unsecured WiFi network or something.

I'd worry more about spare keys and the ease of access he has to your knicker drawer if I were you.
