Yeah that could be a problem, I don't know how much Napoleon improved over Empire in terms of mechanics but it shouldn't be TOO big of a jump.

See the thing about wanting that pillaging and raiding thing is that it hasn't really been in the series recently. In Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion you could play as the Huns, Goths, Alans, etc. and in Medieval II you can do all sorts of horrific shit with the Crusades and the discovery of the Aztecs and Mayans, but after that history got a bit too civillised lol. Rome II should hopefully bring that back since you can play as British, Gaulic or Germanic tribes



And yeah, the naval warfare isn't particularly important in Shogun 2 but I don't mind, I prefer land battles any day

just picked up god of war ascension.. don't know what i was expecting really... more of the same but i like it. has a last of us early access..

also playing batman: arkham city (it's good) and mass effect (never played them and knew very little prior; it's really good)

Just razzed a two hour Age of Empires II match on Hamachi with a mate...love that game, definitely copping the HD edition on Steam next month!

Yea some people don't seem to understand the point of RPGs which is why we end up with so many shallow ones now with people skipping any writing or dialogue to get to more action.
Mass Effect man, that series had so much potential. 1 is glorious and you can see all the potential it has, 2 changes up the mechanics a bit more and makes it more shooter oriented, 3 is just meh...

Can't get enough of planetside 2 at the moment. There really isn't any game like it. Gonna have to get on arma though aswell soon.
