Yeah some might say from even before dubstep came around
back around 2000 or 2001,timbaland was live on R1 with westwood, and he was taking phone call questions...someone rang in to ask "So timbaland, are you still unwilling to admit that you never heard of jungle, until someone told you about it?"...his reply..."Next question."

im not saying that he shouldn't be influenced by things, but its just uncanny that when certain underground flavors get popular, the next timbaland tune 6 months down the road, takes a bit of that flavoring too. i'd say he's aware of everything thats happening in the underground. either him or his studio people. its in his business interests to do so. especially at $300k for a beat.

Er not getting any dubstep influence here. Sounds like a mash of a whole load of different styles and consequently comes out sounding like nothing I'd wanna dance too.

What that Timbaland did was jungle influenced? Judging from the time, I was exposed to lotsa Timbaland but not much jungle and I can't really remember him getting jungly. Well, perhaps VAGUELY.

word. Joker has been pushing this kinda sound alot.
meh, that sounds like an insult to joker lol. I'm not even the biggest fan of joker but I'd be willing to say he's much more musically talented than timbaland is. That doesn't sound like a joker tune or joker style, sounds like shit.

Most original lyrics I've ever heard in my life though.

Timbaland is a business man, not an artist. I don't know how you guys can respect somebody when half of their tracks are stolen from people in other countries because he thinks nobody will find out.

Hmm... pretty shit for Jay Z tbh, he's usually on some more lyrical ill shit. I like the beat kinda I guess, not really too tight tbh.

this sounds exaclty like what timbaland has always sounded like

timbo has fucked with the lfo's since the 90s so to say hes been influenced is kinda wrong

Yea, the first time I heard the newer Joker riddims I asked myself how long it'd be before Dr. Dre sued him for the use of the Funk lolz. :P  :P

so Im listening to BP3 right now... its pretty damn good! Good for Jay-Z. The Ghetto Techno song should definitely be off this album, its weak (IMO). Timbaland has 3 other beats on the album though, the track Venus vs. Mars is solid. Kinda on a dubstep tip.. sorta, but solid production none the less, and Jay sounds great over it, so a good look for Timbaland too.

This new Blueprint is a pretty solid sound for him... and, well lets just say I have about everything Jay-Z has done, but I leave Blueprint 2 off the pod so I wasn't expecting to like this so much. Kanye is blowing up the production up as well...
