Welcome to the wonderful world of purchasing music on vinyl. Rarely does someone put all of their heaters on the same wax. It happens, but not alot.

I think selfish producers should ask all their listeners what they want and then make custom-made tracks just for them. Named after the listener.
Delivered to the door of the listener by the producer riding on a chocolate tricycle. And then the producer has to apologise for being late.

the more the merrier.
lots of tracks are growers.
heavy artillery ep with spliff dub
skreamizm 4
diary of an afro warrior
rude kid ep
grime
...
i bought all of those for one track alone, thinking the others were so-so.
but in time i've realised that nearly every single track on those EPs/LPs are excellent...i just didn't realise it when i bought them.
i bought my first record, led zeppelin iii, for ''the immigrant song'' ...then i let the whole LP play through................................

as for the Benga album...The Cut got played maybe 3 times when I got it....and then MONTHS later I found myself playing it ALL the time. Same with M1

I regularly pay that much for singles with only 1 track that I give a shit about, so yes. If the tune is quality I will fork it over.
Also, you've gotta love kids these days and the shit they complain about. There was a time when you had to own a pair of Technics to even listen to music. Now people are complaining about formats and their limitations. We're a bunch of spoiled fucking babies nowadays I swear. I have more than a couple records that are 1 tune and take up both sides of the record. Or 1 tune on 1 side of a record that is so badly pressed that it barely played when I first bought it. Let's put it in perspective what we're whining about.
Vinyl even seems to cost less than it used to. At least for me. Maybe my means have improved a bit or something. Either way, if you don't like the other tunes, maybe find someone who wants to sell you just that one record from their EP. I've bought single records like that as well. If there is a demand the supply tends to meet that demand in a free market.

£20?
http://www.chemical-records.co.uk/sc/se ... UBWAY011EP
£11.99 for 2 disk E.P
That's £6 per disk, average price for a vinyl
5 tracks for 12 quid is £2.40 which is getting on for the price of an mp3 no? mp3's are what £1/2 for a wav?
I'm not gonna touch the subject of "mediocre" I'm just gonna say that one mans trash is another mans treasure.

Well the postman kindly handed a fat stack of records over to me this morning, including both EPs.
Forget this whole thread, all tracks kill it!
