Where did you do shows?

also: Do you do ALL your processing in T Racks?
Well, they were DIY shows so they were literally wherever I could book time: VFW/reception halls, basements, attics, garages, etc. Obviously the soundsystem was appropriate for what I was doing: some SM58s for vocals, a 12 channel mixer, and 2 mains.

And no, I don't do 100% of my processing inside T-RackS. I do love that suite, however. I have a few other plug-ins that are go-to for certain purposes.

I don't own any outboard gear, so all processing is digital.

What HC band were you in?

I wish you all the best of luck :)

I don't feel undercut in the slightest, so anyone arguing about it who isn't working in the area might as well relax. There's different levels, different tastes, different abilities, experience, gear etc etc. I'm as 'worried' by them as Masterpiece/Transition/etc are about me. Chinese restaurants don't shut own cos a burger bar opens up nearby. Posh haute cuisine restaurants don't shut down cos the Chinese has opened up.

Probably none you'd remember, haha. I was in a couple of bands, the last being called The Intervention. We only toured the States (Midwest and eastward).

I still love hardcore. Would love to play in another band, but sold my drumset years ago to move to California. Still collect hardcore records, though! :]

lol His price was in $, a clue?

I just left a punk band, was mainly british stuff, I was the one who was trying to bring in the more melodic american influences like rise against and whatnot.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

The pro-audio game is a small community! It benefits no one by maliciously undercutting someone/generally being a dick. Obviously studios will have typically great monitors, outboard gear, convertors, etc. They'll cost more, but you'll hear the difference.

Right on, man. I've heard some of your guys' stuff. Unfortunately, my taste in hardcore as of late has been old Japanese stuff. Just dropped $41 on a Total Fury record last week which completes my collection (sans any comps they were on).

Are you guys touring the States anytime soon?

See that's where I have a problem,

you read that post and think "that's made me hungry"

I read it and instinctively go to the cupboard and get cereal without even questioning it. Only just noticed that i'm sat here making my way through a bowl of it

nah we dont have the bucks to do that man, its so hard to uk/us tours at the minute, and vice versa.

I never got into Japcore, a mate of mine is a nerd on it though!

I quite like Jelly Roll Rockheads mind, but they are way more modern, on 625thrashcore.. fun shit

Yeah, that's the kind of stuff I'm into. Exclaim, Tomorrow, all that kind of stuff. I do like some of the 80s Japanese hardcore like Gauze and stuff, though.

Total Fury is basically Minor Threat if Minor Threat were from Japan.

Just a quick bump:

After reading through this thread and checking out what other Internet mastering guys are doing, we've decided to master the first minute of your track for free as means of sending you a sample of what your finished track will be.

From then on, you can decide if you'd like to order the full track mastering at the prices in the first post.

If you're interested, feel free to email us at either address: ben.versluis@gmail.com or askasoundguy@gmail.com

Thanks!
