I started off with albums no-one had mentioned...slowly gave up with that & just made my own list. If albums are mentioned a couple of times, he's more likely to check them out.

in-my-opinion, my-taste, I THINK
Somewhere in time is the best album from Iron Maiden.

BUT, he is not asking for "artist's best albums"

he is asking just for great albums in general.

how about one actually by the original nirvana rather than the group that stole their name lol

i'm sure dj shadow prefers the former given he sampled them and not smells like teen spirit

haha that actually made me a bit sad because i very very rarely listen to music with mates anymore as i am either too busy with work to make time for it or too incompatible with said friend lol

me and some of my mates kinda driffted musically... which is sad. I listed to DNB/JUNGLE 50% of the time from 1996 to 2007. In 2007 i really started feeling the dubstep and many of my friends just couldnt get it. I was like... there is tons of crap dubstep, crap dnb.. but they didnt understand. They just didnt resonate to quality. It had to be syncopated 4/4 amen recycled into anything for them to "enjoy". I love quality music regardless of genre. I would play amazing stuff like Night Vision from distance and all I would get was "it's too slow". WHAT!!!!?!?!?!?? who fucking cares if it's 140 half beat... do you heard that emotional melodic bassline?!? Makes me wonder if people actually have taste. Are their ears connected to their heart??

i get what you're saying, genres make people have tunnel vision when it comes to music...

it's all music ultimately and particularly with dubstep and d&b you can see the parallels....i mean the fucking godawful d&b seems to come from the same place as the shitty dubstep....it's just good & bad music...looping amens on their own don't turn me on like they did when i was younger....special patterns like photek, omni trio etc give me continued gratification....but even with dubstep & d&b i need a break to listen to some less production based songs ala folky, jazz or classical etc

nothing new really get's me excited except for a tiny amount of music...usually different to my usual taste
