can you honestly say Heartless Crew sounds like CJ Bolland - Sugar is sweeter sound likes Jammin sounds like Todd Edwards sounds like DND?
On the same token can you say Joey negro sounds like abicah soul? different strains of house, but House none the less

The cj bolland track, you probably mean armands remix? which was house, all them early tunes were all crossovers, Closer, Photographs Of Mary, The Nervous Track, Do It Your Way, Lood etc

which was my point i suppose, it all has its roots in house, heartless crew and dnd etc were products of this.
This thing with funky is exactly what happened with garage, i.e people producing their own take on a form of house music.

hehe, true - i spend too much time on forums though and i think what i like best about here is that nobody really talks about genres like they do elsewhere

anyway, it's all house music to me :D

House, techno, deep, funky etc=House.
I get that a lot of stuff that's referred to as "Funky" is just "Funky House" or simply "House." But some of the stuff that's refered to as "Funky" is such a departure from House that it doesn't really sound like House to me anymore. People like Lil Silva, Cooly G, and Roska.
Anyone who reffers to 'Funky' as 'Funky house' is wrong, i understand what you're saying about the other people in honesty lil silva just sounds like garage.
when you say 'it doesnt sound like house to you' there are many, many forms of the music that dont sound like your traditional bread and butter frankie knuckles 4/4. :D
If Funky is House, then Garage is also House. And if that's the case, everything is House.

Yea, hate to propose yet another name change, but I think the "Room of Relevance" would be a lot more, er Relevant haha. But seriously it gets rid of everyone pissing & crying about "genre names" & shit.
