wow. i find that amazing. like the thread where people seemed perplexed by the notion that rusko wasnt behind the cali love/roger troutman sample.
haha seriously there's thread on this? some people have a terrible lack of music knowledge... come ooooooooooooon..... ROGER TROUTMAN!
to Collige: yeah you're right Swizz still got some ill beats, to me he's in the top 10 of best hip-hop producers of all time. Still, between 1998 and 2003 each and every beat he dropped were crazy, now it's like 1 ou of 5. But he can't rap, sure thing haha.
the quality level of their vids has dropped. that looks so amatuer. the production in hip hop isnt what it used to be. When X's vocals come in on that track they are well too high.
always got love for double R

Is it 100% confirmed that it's going to be the E-Trips remix (did she said that) or is it just a rumour.
If it is the E-Trips remix then: lol fail.

its E-trips vocal'd by Eve, retitled 'Me n My' ... not really a remix exactly but u got the idea
the only thing that puts me off is how bigger name hiphop producers are jocking production shine on these collabs when it only really seems like they're 2 tracking some vocals pon top .. but I guess thats the biz
big up Benga... and I watched lol I watched the clip, Eve literally just mentions 'dubstep' and then moves on.
superstars are defo just dabblin, like a new hot beat is a new hot beat.. I dont sense much passion or enthusiasm over this "movement"
ah well carry on I guess..

whats the problem with that? its not some secret genre that no one has access to! who's being elitist now?
benga got paid. its his beat. eve is just doing her take on it. fair play to all i say. it doesn't matter that she didn't name benga. why would she?

yeah sure, fair play to all.. not really disagreeing w/ u .. where did I say Eve shouldn't have touched this tune?
my only quibble is folks like mr. Remi and mr. Legend or whoever getting their names up front and center on these collabs .. when really all we need to know is .. who made the beat .. who vocaled the beat. the rest is biz bullshit
you don't see A KODE 9 PRESENTATION on Burial records innit
edit: whatever. I'm splitting hairs. not opposed to this direction, there's just ways to go about it correctly

christ. dubstep is crashing into the mainstream fast. kind of makes me uncomfortable.
Track's getting mixed...

Track's getting mixed reviews on a lot of the hiphop forums I'm on....
Some people still here dubstep and say they don't like that "techno shit"
others like the beat but don't like Eve's vocals...
Eve has kinda fell off hiphop wise tho, although she's still a big name ppl aren't really checkin' for her like that imo

Glad that this hip-hop/dubstep collabo isn't just throwing a Chase & Status beat on top of it, and is instead using a Benga beat.

Jimmy Fallon is cool.
Both Benga and Eve haven't ever really been relevant to my interests.
World War 7(was it 7?) is like one of the only tunes of his I've ever liked anyway. I expected something far worse than this. This is just shit, I was expecting to want to stab my ears out.
Me and my Bitches?
Hope I never run into them at the club. Sounds like something Richie Hawtin could get down to though. Him and Dubfire are bitches gettin down in the club.

Is Benga gonna be all up in the video dancing around, kickflipping on his skateboard and making clicking noises? That is what is wrong with it. If it was the Neptunes or some shit, they'd make a big deal out of the producer. You get paid for selling your ass on the street, that doesn't make it respectable. No more respectable than picking up the dollar bills off the ground after stripping.
Who makes the real money? The Club. Nobody knows the strippers name.
Eve is gonna get credit, Benga will get blasted by the Dubstep community for going mainstream, Dubstep will get absolutely no mention in any real major press. Nothing wrong with that?
"Why would she?"
Because he made the fucking tune. She said some derogatory shit about her female friends being bitches in the club. You see nothing wrong with this? Doesn't matter to me too much tbh... tune sucked to begin with, put a shit vocal over it. Super.
I didn't see Daft Punk banking off of Kanye. I didn't see Joey Beltram banking off of Diddy robbing his beats either. Nothing wrong there.

1. its not your beat
2. its not signed to your label
3. Eve paid benga for the track. she's given him credit already. just like any other artist/producer credit works. this is the music business.
4. its incredibly elitist thinking to start saying who should listen to this music and who shouldn't by virtue of their involvement in this dubstep community, or by virtue of some moral stand about who can use the word "bitches" in a tune.
come down from your pedestal.

you are such a fucking twat. and like seckle said, get off your pedestal. if you were sitting in a room with eve and benga right now i can just imagine them ripping you a new asshole. and whats with hating on richie hawtin? get your history right before you start talking shit on someone who has done more for electronic music than you could possibly do even if you were given 10 lifetimes. hes an incredibly talented producer and his mixing skills are inspiring to say the least
Yea, he's had some badass tunes and has been pretty innovative. He must be above criticism then for sure...
Here is him DESTROYING at WMC
And he was recently taken out of a club with Dubfire headfirst for being a moron. And as for piping down if Benga or Eve were around that is a crock of shit. I'd tell them what I think of their music and them in general, just like I would any other notable musician. If I was a fan, I'd say so.
@Seckle:
1. its not your beat either(so I guess your opinion doesn't matter at all by virtue of your own way of thinking...)
2. its not signed to your label either(so again I guess your opinion doesn't matter)
3. Eve paid benga for the track. she's given him credit already. just like any other artist/producer credit works. this is the music business. (Great, that's how it works. I just think the way it's being discussed is a crock. Dubstep producer. Fuck I'd hate to have to live with any genre in front of the title I carry. Techno Producer, HipHop Producer... it's just the fact that people assume that it'll be so magical if someone produces something other than what they normally do... and then it's something we've already heard and wasn't that good. So the link I listen to is as expected. I have as much right to voice that opinion as you do to voice yours... but apparently neither of us produced the tune or released the tune ourself so we can't have opinions as per your own. Maybe that is how it works for you, but I don't need a map to find my asshole. I don't need to produce a tune to know I don't like a tune and I don't need someone else to tell me what my opinions are.)
4. its incredibly elitist thinking to start saying who should listen to this music and who shouldn't by virtue of their involvement in this dubstep community, or by virtue of some moral stand about who can use the word "bitches" in a tune.
When did I say fuck all about who can listen to Dubstep? All I said was that I didn't like the tune, I thought it was a shit interpretation, I think her deliberate use of Bitches to describe females is bullshit. Got a problem with that? Write a poem or something.
Opinions: people will fucking have them. I don't make point by point posts whining about shit people say.
