As the others have said probably time to listen to some different genres e.g techno, funk, electro (funk), jungle, jazz fusion.

Nobody should have to beg you to listen. There's shit tons of good stuff out there. Now more than ever. There are the classics out and mostly available, and additionally the vast wealth of good shit coming out. I will never understand these people who claim nothing good is coming out or that they need their faith restored. If you had faith for real, you'd still have it now.

well...no. Because My problem I'm checking releases day by day and just not finding anything that ticks the right boxes, hits the spot, etc. etc. So I asked if anyone had anything specific that they were feeling and thought that me or others might like to know about. Thanks to everyone who's suggested so far, feeling a lot of random stuff

Hmmm...well...what makes you think anyone else is gonna know what "hits the spot" for you? I search through tons of shit tunes, but have been finding a fair amount of blindingly good music lately. Makes me wonder where you are looking? Or what exactly you are looking for?

Honestly, I put enough effort into finding music I love, that I have to question someone who can't find it asking the rest of us to do the work for them, in order to "restore their faith". Do it yourself. If dubstep ain't hitting, check some other genres. You may find something fresh there that brings you back around from a different angle.

Nothing wrong with asking for some suggestions, but I think it's up to you to find the stuff that rocks your socks. It's the journey, not the destination...

need to eliminate the duplate culture that drum and bass has been championing for years

fair enough producers, hold back tunes, test them, play them out but they need to get released to keep people interested

people who hold interest are people with a decent release schedule and sadly if things are held back too long, people find other ways to get them via illegal downloads meaning less people are likely to buy them when made available

for me, the only label who maintain professionalism & at the same time bring heavy releases each & every time is CONTAGIOUS RECORDS

New vinyl released every few weeks. that is how it should be
not havin ppl playin the tunes in 2001 & releasin it sometime around 2010

i take your point, and i search and trawl through beatport, juno, chem recs. blogs etc, I was wondering if there was something i was missing because the most recent slew of releases, bar 5 or 6 tracks, haven't done it for me. I'm not asking for people to do the work for me, just a nod towards artists i might've missed y'know?

I appreciate the other genres suggestion too, but i do listen to plenty of other genres, i'm trying to broaden my dub-horizons. Point taken though. I kept my request pretty non=specific to artists as well so it was more open ended and people could just shoot their mouths off about how much they love DJ X or EP Y.

Best dubstep release of the year in my opinion. Fresh stuff by artists who are constantly looking forward.

But Caspa and Rusko are Dubstep! Where would it be without them?

To be fair most tunes now are in a totally different style to a couple of years ago - if you liked dubstep then, then it stands to reason that you probably won't like it so much now. Looking through the new releases on Chemical it's a surprise if theres one tune there I really like each week.

Dunno about artist recommendations, I think I'm just gonna start buying jungle to make up for the lack of em.

couldnt agree more. i always find myself doing a cheeky little rapidshare/zshare search if i hear a tune that hasnt come out yet. most of the time it fails but i managed to get hold of Jakes LP that way a few months before it was released. I still went out and bought the actual thing though as some of the tunes wern't 320's. Fine for listen to and playing on the move, not good for playing out
