I am completely content with the musicianship of the track.
Then why in the world did you ask for anyones opinions?

And I'm not on here saying I'm the kingpin of producing. You know, I'll fully admit my production needs alot more time and help but at the end of the day I'm not as good on the piano as you are.

nobody is arguing with u on the fact that the music is about the musician. it's also about the listener...
see, what you make is personal... it's your creativity that's putting everything together. ultimately ppl listen to what u made and relate to it in a way or another.
when someone makes a painting, they're trying to make it as beautiful as they can, and if they're good at it ppl will look at the painting and like it. same thing with music.

no one here is telling u to stop your creativity and conform to some sort of rules to destroy your take on music. the advice given here is to make this song sound better. if someone says your snare is weak, they mean you can have that same snare sound much better. it's still gonna be the same song, it'll just sound better! don't look at them as 'rules,' think of them as foundation that u build up on. it's like solving complicated math questions without knowing the basics.

every1 here believes ur new at making beats because... well... u didn't even reverb your snare. that's a foundational thing. so is layering.

also, maybe you're working on bad speakers... maybe your sound card isn't very good. there are a lot of factors that can add up which will ultimately make your track sound bad... it'll sound good to you when ur making it on ur system, but when someone else listens to it on their computer, it'll be a whole different sound. and most ppl here have good speakers that can handle the deepest dubstep songs, so it's most likely coming from your side.

12 years of producing doesn't mean anything if u haven't learned the proper way. it's like teaching yourself martial arts, with no sensei, no advice, no videos to look at or anything of that matter... u might be able to come up with some stuff, but it won't be proper and u'd probably look stupid in front of ppl with real training (most likely get your ass kicked too, lol).

cheers

Dubstep sucks simply because too many cat are in the i-think-people-will-like-this mind set. I put what I like. If I don't like the music, I don't produce it.

"too many cat", you should probably edit this.

" i-think-people-will-like-this mind set" if you ever meet a producer who makes a track that he/she thinks everyone will hate, please tell me.

off topic; but yeah your track is weak.

BIG ups!!!

pretty huge post by saying dubstep needs you. personally i wouldn't even consider this track dubstep. the low end wobble, if thats even what you want to call it, is off at times. all the synth sounds are really cut and dry, theres no meat behind them....... definitely not the kind of meat that should come with 12 years of production. just throw the drum beat out completely if you want it to be a dubstep track.... it sounds like its right out of fruity loops or something. There isn't any flow to the track either it kind of just goes from one thing to the next. also 2 and a half minutes into the track is a little late for the song to pick up. in the future try dropping it sooner..........but besides all that, HUGE DUBSTEP TRACK!

I would definately stop talking like you're amazing though, you are clearly new at production and it doesn't go down well to act like a cock.

NOOOO....i am not new to production. I've been producing for 12 years. The rawness is wholly intentional. Dubstep sucks simply because too many cat are in the i-think-people-will-like-this mind set. I put what I like. If I don't like the music, I don't produce it.

Stop with being condescending.
Why do u make dubstep then? if u dont like it

I think your other track is better dot.
I'm not going to bother telling you why, it has already been said by others.

I will say though that boasting about how great you are at piano is and how long you have been producing is, to say the least, lame. Especially when it is not reflected at all in what you present. A lot of people think their tracks are the dogs balls, but I guess as you are learning this doesn't mean other people think so.

alright, itemized insults start now:

1) straight outta fruity loops? shut the fuck up, tons of good producers use fruity loops, i bet my shit (made of FL9) will put ur dick in the dirt
(the rest are for you "dot")

2) i don't even care to listen to the track, just because of the presentation and feedback that my peers have given you.
call it "group mentality" if you want, but you're just stupid if you watch 15 other people jump into a burning building and then try it yourself.

3) i think it's pathetic that your threads get more posts and stay at the top of the dubs list simply because you're a pompous shitdick that everyone wants to give a piece of their mind, meanwhile the actually GOOD dubs get bumped further and further down the list.

4) a 12 year piano? how about "pianist" dude?

that's all.

Agreed on most points here: lack of punch on kick, lack of dirt on snare. Whatever, this type of stuff can be fixed in matter of minutes.
Lack of hats give it that laidback feel but unfortunatly this makes the track dull later on cause its not picking up the groove.
I actually like the dischord idea behind this, but dubstep (and I do mean this in broadest, generic sense) should be more bass oriented. Back to tha mixin board

Just doesn't seem to fit together to me, sounds like a 6-minute breakdown, but imo it's easy for that to happen using Ableton to produce. What program is your production experience in? I'm new to the forums so I'll keep my mouth shut except to say that if you're new to a genre/forum/community you should likely start with a lot of humility, and then work your way up. If someone says "the kick is weak", how hard is it really to just jump back in and beef it up and show that you're progressing in a particular direction? Good luck, looking forward to hearing more!

Hmmm, I just can't believe this "I've been producing for 12 years thing". I've been producing for a few months and I'm pretty sure that I could have made this song...Although I would have deleted it if I had. :o
