Re: Graphic Designer Help?

I am a retired designer, but would be willing to do some work, however, because I'm unlikely to be paid, you would be at the mercy of my schedule. I'm currently a full time student, studying to hopefully get into medical school, or graduate school as a physicians assistant, surgical. I'm also currently interviewing for a creative professional position with Apple Computers. So I'm a busy guy.
My background consists of a bachelor of fine arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design. My major focus was 3d animation, although I am more of a modeler/designer than a animator (this does not mean I can't animate, I just usually don't). I also have some certificates in web development and design. I can work with just about anything, I have full legit licenses of Maya, zBrush, Flash, Photoshop and a whole ton of other stuff, I've been using Photoshop since version 2, so I've been around for a good long time. I have worked for some semi high profile clients including the Atlanta Braves (Turner Field more than the team itself), The United States National Science Foundation, and Adult Swim/Cartoon Network (Harvey Birdman, and a LOT of Adult Swim work was done in my home studio by my ex fiancee).
So I can do flash sites, album covers, 3d models and all that jazz. Most of my professional work was production and product design, I retired because I felt more like a technician than an artist, and struggled with the lack of creative freedom. I also got burned pretty hard at a job, and my fiancee died a few days later and my life just kind of went to shit. So I took a break from it and decided I wanted to something related to healthcare.
Aside from being available for freelance work, I am always willing to help answer questions and do my best to always be constructive in my criticisms. I may not work, but I am still a professional. Shoot me a private message, or if you like, you can catch me on facebook, just search my username and you'll find me.
So I look forward to being of some use, even if it is only to answer questions or offer advice. Depending on the work, I will agree in most cases to do it for no charge as long as you are patient and understand that your request isn't my top priority (not trying to be a dick, I'm just really really busy). If you want serious work on a tight deadline, I am willing to negotiate some sort of compensation, and your project will become a priority.
