When I first get an album I listen to it all, then over time I tend to filter out the tracks that are below par and just skip to the ones I like. Some albums just get played through always but I consider them classics, though these days it is getting rarer.

Bob Marley - Rastaman Vibration
Gang Starr - well lots of them... but mainly Daily Operation and Step Into the Arena
Kryptic Minds - One of Us
Nas - Illmatic
Burial - Both Albums
BDP - First Two Albums
Jeru The Damaja - (As Above)
Stone Roses - Stone Roses

And thats about it... (I love DJ Premier, clearly!)
Wow I have almost identical tastes.

Sneaker Pimps Bloodsports was last album I'd listen to go-to-woah, repeatedly.
Then albums like Brian Jonestown Massacre's, with seemingly random tracks, got me out of the habit.
Mixes & radio show DLs reimpose the need to listen thru. And, of course, any Necks album.

Honestly, I've only played a non-mixed album all the way through only 5 times or something.
Doesn't happen much either that I listen to a song all the way through.

I just get bored fast.

I do it whenever I draw. Try to zone completely into the album. Other times when I read (usually just with ambient stuff). Sometimes when on long bus rides too, when I have "time" to listen to it all. And usually on Sundays too, when I'm usually stuck pretty much paralyzed in front of the computer for a good few hours. Got really into that Demdike Stare-album that way. What an album. :D

Yeah that's the one, the score is by Underworld IIRC. I love the film, I think it is one of his best, love the way it looks gorgeous but was shot on a shoe string. I haven't seen the remake of Solaris, there are somethings I know to avoid. Coincidently Moon has a really good OST, Clint Mansell is responsible for it.
