*grand* wrote:I am not to sure that is the status quo anymore. There was a time when if you spoke to the majority of DnB producers or fans, hell three years ago it's crap would have been uttered by them as quick as a blink of the eyes. However with the DNB on the whole being rather quite unadventurous, formulaic, so on and so forth... many a DnBr can be found enjoying Dubstep.

More time those rip on it because of ignorance, draw for the mix CD and educate the masses.

Grand.
There is a bit of jealousy involved in the equation too tho. I know with the local boys they get heated when everyone is dancing their ass off to dubstep and then they come on with DNB and then everyone leaves. That is when they start talking about bandwagon jumpers  Personally I could never understand how you could like DNB and not dubstep and vice versa. It's beats and bass, that is my kind of thing.

Dark Reign wrote:I like it when a dj drops both dubstep & dnb in a set even some house or techno or breaks. Variety is nice
normally, i would agree with this statement, but when excision played in sydney, he started his set with filthy wobblers, left himself nowhere to go, and within half an hour he had progressed up to jump up dnb, after about 10 mins of that he went straight back to filthy wobble.

no variety.

sets need diversity.
