yeah that. and she says half of the rest of the stuff sounds like an electric razor.
the only tracks i think my dad has heard have been Caspa's "The Terminator" which he said sounds like an alarm, and Breakage's "Rain" to which he said "wow thats low, i can feel the hairs on my head wiggling..."
neither of them have outright said they hated it, so thats good.

Dad likes Kode9 and Kito.
Doesn't like others as he reckons it's boring (after the first 8 bars) and/or no melody.

parents like the deeper/dubbier stuff.. old reggae heads so that makes sense :> they quite enjoy burial and the more musical side of things aswell though.. just cant get behind the jumpup stuff.. but who blames them

they know what it is and what i do, ive tried to explain it to them but theyre not really that interested in it. the only thing my mum cares about is if i get paid for gigs. she finds it hard to believe that house parties dont pay the dj. my step dad doesnt is pretty open minded towards music but they dont really know what the fuck is going on with dubstep. i dont even live in the same country as them so it never really causes too many problems.
played some to my grandad once though. he didnt enjoy it, obviously, he is 80 though.

Mom doesn't really get it but knows of key people in the scene through me mentioning them all the time, she even acts as a gig guide for us if she see's a name she recognises on a poster

Dad don't really get it either, thinks its just 'thud thud thud' lol.
