Everyone needs a bit of Drexciya in their life.

I didn't really pick up on them until The Quest came out in '97 but they're one of the most original electronic acts of all time.

Fucking crazy back story too. Who'd have thought that unborn foetuses could teach themsevels to breathe underwater and then learn to use synthesisers?

Totally missed this thread. Drexciya is amazing.. I was only 9 or 10 when I first heard some of the tunes (along with some Frankie Bones tunes) and I remember being totally obsessed with it for a good part of my youth. Never heard music like that before, and haven't really heard any since. RIP :!:
So many classic tunes. Brings back memories.. I remember walking home from school with this on headphones+cassette.

Could it be possible for humans to breath underwater? A foetus in its mothers womb is certainly alive in an aquatic environment.

During the greatest holocaust the world has ever known, pregnant America-bound African slaves were thrown overboard by the thousands...

Is it possible that they could have given birth at sea to babies that never needed air? Recent experiments have shown mice are able to breathe liquid oxygen. Even more shocking & conclusive was a recent instance of a premature infant saved from certain death by breathing liquid oxygen through its undeveloped lungs.
