It took a while to audition every sample.

For the task of auditioning I used Reapers media explorer. Reapers media explorer functions as a normal Windows folder, meaning I could delete, rename and drag & drop files directly to and from the media explorer to the other relevantly named folders etc.

Reapers media explorer also allows tempo synched looping and scrolling of samples using the cursor keys. Finally, it builds a small visual preview of the sample so one can check for glitches, normalisation levels etc. (I store all the peak files in a separate folder so I can flush them periodically... Saves a big mess! Ditto with Lives peak files...)

As pointed out, every time I open an old project I am prompted to find the correct samples. As I didn't rename any of my samples, this isn't an issue. I know exactly where all my samples are located.

Although previously my sample collection was fairly organised, it is now super organised!
