I saw mixed in key the other day, now Im stuck on it, becasue whether you realize it or not shit like vocal samples n percussive incidents can have key too, n if you have a nice a bassline and your incidentals are all at a, and your mids have the progression, you can get a nice sound if you really think on it...

Its not aobut 'what key do I write in'... its aobutamking sure everythings in it! Pick a damn root note n jam though man, theres only 8 of em to start from...

Another note, sometimes 8 bars this key and then switch, ect... can provide a nice progression throughout.
When did this happen?

Aight fair enough, but it's pretty annoying. If your root note is A (or whatever "magic note" you think will work on every single system) that means close to fuck all in terms of key, it just rules out the ones with no A in at all.
