Agreed, slightly browned. If you want to get a little crazy, or are pretty stoned I would suggest buttering the bread (with real butter) and then quickly toasting it on the pan you just fried the bacon on. Just don't do it everyday and your arteries will forgive you. I prefer wheat breads but a couple of slices of white do go better with certain things.

Yeah, I'd rather go without than try and replace it. That Not bacon shit is, well you said it, vile.
Beanburgers are pretty much the only meat dish substitute worthy of being eaten.
Most veggie sausages are rank, Quorn is rank, and tofu is usually rank.
i'll happily eat meals consisting solely of veggies[and do 3 or 4 times a week],but i draw the line at meat replacement products bleurghh.Tofu's o.k though, especially deep fried and these are well nice.

[japenese style and wild garlic ones are nice too]
You been to the Veggie food studios on Penarth Rd?,their food is lush[especially the chinese chilli paneer

nah these things tend to be a bit too right on for my liking, having earnest discussions about the relative merits of soya milk versus rice milk ain't my ideal day out

.Will be at the great british cheese festival in sept though, yum yum

Ok:
Bacon Sandwhich - white bread, ketchup, butter
If an egg's involved, toast is mandatory.

If you toast the bread how does it soak up the yolk and turn into a gourgeous mess of melted butter, egg yolk, bacon fat and sauce, foo'?
You toasted crew need shot

Do you burn your bread or something? Toast can still soak up egg.

Both...
1 slice of toast, buttered
3 rashers of smoked bacon, trimmed of fat
generous portion of ketchup or brown sauce
1 slice of bread, buttered on both sides, crust trimmed
1 rasher smoked bacon, trimmed of fat
2 pouched eggs, soft yolks
1 slice of toast, buttered
or if it's quick, couple of rashers with a pouched egg sandwiched with buttered bread, not toast... the butter and yolk substitute the sauce when it's bread, whereas toast is alot dryer therefore requiring a healthy portion of hp sauce or ketchup

i used to be a devote toaster but over the last few days i thought i'd try it with normal bread and it's gooooood. apart from it gets stuck in your teeth/mouth which is annoying.
white bread
anchor butter
smoked pig (ALWAYS!)
bbq sauce
and cut diagnally.

Aye, why add fucking avocodocas when you can add other ingredients like more bacon, or more bacon. As for toast vs bread... dunno, could just be more bacon for all I care.

Hmm, white bread.
Though, really, who needs bread when you've got bacon?
I'd eat it all the time if I wouldn't end fat as shit.
