touche! What is it with those shoes that the trendytypes keep wearing? The ones that look like they should be on a man with one big foot and one small foot.

Ha I saw that on your twitter. You got a pic of an example of these shoes you mean? (not the clubfoot one)

I like nice clothes, but I went out with a fashionista for about 6 years and I'm sick to the teeth of "followers", tbh. I'm just a sucker for a fresh pair of trainers and t shirts.... my lady despairs at the amount of crap in my wardrobe.
Seems to be more difficult to avoid the fashiontrap for girls... the bias of conditioning from an early age really is massively stacked against them... look right (not good, right) or don't exist is drummed into them from an incredibly early age. Blokes seem to have a bit more chance of 'getting away' with not caring, especially once they've left school.
Wear clothes that make you happy. People like happy people.

I spend alot of my money on clothes, but I don't follow fashion. I don't change what I consider to be dressing well every 6 months.

He thinks he is a flower to be looked at,
And when he pulls his frilly nylon panties right up tight,
He feels a dedicated follower of fashion.
Oh yes he is
Oh yes he is

I went to a fancy dress party when I was about 16, the theme was 'bad taste', so people were going dressed as Ian Brady and Myra Hindley etc. I went wearing my dad's best clothes.

You know - I've met Jellymints in person..
and I can say that I was a tad bit surprized to find that in real life,
...he reads less like a hipster and more like a very emaciated Hyde from That 70's Show..
which is not a bad thing...sans the emaciation part
We are meeting for brunch this Sun.

yeah but there is a difference between wearing what you think looks good and suits you and just wearing whatever is "in fashion" to try and look like you're up to date with what everyone else has been told to wear
Agreed, you got to take care of your appearence but i hate the idea of basing that on what everyone else is doing.
