Dude, visit any of his youtube video pages, it's scary. It's almost like all the comments are from his friends.amick wrote:I find it hard to believe James Blake die-hard fans exist when he's only released 6 tunes.
Dude, YouTube comments are full of trolls. You can't base your opinion on that surely...WatchYourStep wrote:Dude, visit any of his youtube video pages, it's scary. Or him creating different accounts and just biggin himself up lol
The gist and a load of dodge artifacts from the Youtube compression, bad rip...WatchYourStep wrote:Jesus, I'll get to you in a moment! Lol yes, I was using trusty ol' youtube. I know the quality's shit but it gets the gist of a track across, you would agree?
Lol Hey man, you're more than welcome to make an entire thread about how Sweet Shop is the worst tune of all time. I'll be the first to comment on itMattron wrote:"There's nothing incredible about James Blake..."
Says the man who says "Sweet Shop" by Dr. P is his favorite dubstep tune of all time.
Could be because lots of other people like him and you're just unable to recognize what he's doing?WatchYourStep wrote:Dude, visit any of his youtube video pages, it's scary. Totally agree there, but when I love a tune on youtube, I might give it a casual comment and a good rating. These james blake fans are insane! They'll RETURN to the video weeks or months later and thumbs-up every comment that says something nice and thumbs-down every comment that says something bad. It's like a cult or somethingamick wrote:Dude, YouTube comments are full of trolls. I know what you're trying to say, believe me, but drum beats, synth notes, timing, these are what I'm referring to. I can hear those just fine in a youtube linkdrokkr wrote:The gist and a load of dodge artifacts from the Youtube compression, bad rip...WatchYourStep wrote:Jesus, I'll get to you in a moment! How can you, on a music forum, question someones music when you have not heard it properly?
I do the same for miley cyrus on youtube but doesn't make me a die hard fan.WatchYourStep wrote:Totally agree there, but when I love a tune on youtube, I might give it a casual comment and a good rating. This is seeming like the most likely answer at this point.Helix [Delay] wrote:Could be because lots of other people like him and you're just unable to recognize what he's doing?
I'm not sure what isn't so great about James Blake, to be honest.WatchYourStep wrote:This is seeming like the most likely answer at this point.Helix [Delay] wrote:Could be because lots of other people like him and you're just unable to recognize what he's doing?
I want to say: one thing I will never do is make someone feel stupid for liking a song. If that's their tastes, all the power to them. It's just that when I saw all these disciples shouting praise for someone who I didn't really see the appeal in, I wanted to know what was so great.
If what you're saying is true, then I admire J.B. for that. I wish more people would follow his example and pour themselves into their art.Mattron wrote:as much thought as Dr. P put into Sweet Shop, James Blake puts into 5 seconds of one of his tunes.
You can hear soul in every single one of his tracks.WatchYourStep wrote:If what you're saying is true, then I admire J.B. for that. Lol there can't be a right or wrong outcome to this discussion, that's the beauty of it.Helix [Delay] wrote:I'm not sure what isn't so great about James Blake, to be honest.WatchYourStep wrote:This is seeming like the most likely answer at this point.Helix [Delay] wrote:Could be because lots of other people like him and you're just unable to recognize what he's doing?

When was the last time you've watched a youtube video? They're not that bad... I've fallen in love with some songs after hearing the first 5 seconds on youtubedrokkr wrote:I don't think you do.
Youtube has it high points for sure. But as a producer of electronic music Youtube sounds shocking all the time to me. I have two Youtube "videos" up with my music on them, the sound quality is terrible. I had more up, but I couldn't bare to know people were hearing my music like that. I can hear and know the difference. I own the 12" of the Jame Blake remix of Untold. The Youtube video makes a mockery of that track. Buy a James Blake 320 off Juno and listen to it properly.WatchYourStep wrote:When was the last time you've watched a youtube video? They're not that bad...
