yeah, exactly. he was tryin to mc. i noticed him trying to lock into the sounds, but like skepta just kept getting thrown off it. i don't know whether he just wasn't on point, or if the sub was too much for him to remember any of his lyrics, but all i recall hearing from him was 'ES-Ki-BOY, my name is ES-Ki-BOY'... swear he forgot his lyrics aswell he needs to ssssshhuh 'is mout star. heavy MC but crap on dubstep.
yeah gotta give him props he preety much single handedly brought about grime and that but have you ever heard him on sets on rinse3 etc, i swear he forgets at least one set of bars each time

FWD have been trying out new things last six months, some aint been to good but most have been really good in my eyes. Last night was amazing, every dj smashed it. Big props to n-type for rinsing one of my tracks. Hatcha destroyed it. Those benga tunes are too much, not to mention the 0800 dub and tapped by skream.

Where can I find out lineups for FWD?
I'm coming to London on March 10th and trying to figure out if I should come a day early for FWD... I'm definitely gonna try to make it to DMZ on the 11th, though.

working on the usual patterns though (1st thurs and 3rd thurs of the month), the March FWD is the 2nd march, not the 9th...

Gotta be said, it was a pretty good night, good start to a very important year and long over due in my eyes to have dub step return to FWD. Vibes were there, good to see the peeps and sum new faces
(hold tight Protocol still cant believe u came all the way down from ur ends!) As for the Grime Heads on the mic wot can i say? It wasn't necessary, Dangerous and Crazy had it in hand the rest keep practicing, maybe they should start booking sum more actual dub-step mc's? hint-hint!! lol Hope the next one has the same impact for the people.
Peeps, its looking very good this year so lets keep building

fair enough about wiley (though i thought it was funny!) but i cant believe all of you didnt like skepta, i thought he was really good and definitely doing something new and different with the style of his flow, much more subtle.
i swear, there's not enough grime love of this forum

I agree about Skepta, I like his style, he brought some good energy to the night, but at times he just sounded lost or confused, like he dont know or dont get the music. The ballbags comment creased me up tho!

Grime MC's on dubstep give it that extra energy. Probably gona take a while to adapt style correctly.
