I'd go for something really well thought out - I mean, you're the one that knows her as a person - what does she like? what are her interests? get her something she'll make use of, or something she finds interesting... It shows you've put thought into getting her something special.

Generally, the closer you get to the day without thinking, the more expensive the gift becomes...




Failing all else, and totally as your LAST resort get her a stuffed Disney toy of her favourite character in the biggest size available, and one of those giant 18 cards and get her friends and fam (inc. the ones you can't stand) to sign it all, and get her an 18 key... but this is Deffo a lame gesture.
