Because it's blowing up and now every kid is "Dubstep's biggest fan". So some people feel the need to prove their authenticity and oldskool-ness, and usually come off as pretentious tools by doing so.

I mean, it's easy to feel a little "better" than the kid who just discovered dubstep via Mt Eden or Borgore or whatever, if you've followed the genre for years and feel you have more insight about what is the "good stuff" and what is hype. That's only normal. But it's easy to come off as a douchebag if you insist on letting people know about your "superior coolness".

yeah I guess, but the only problem is that there are no right places. this is why i listen to alot more dnb, such a diverse selection down here!
