One of them left the US tour after 2 shows... The show I saw (Eddie by himself) was one of the worst dubstep sets Ive ever witnessed. He literally would let tunes play all the way through, and as one tune ended, press play on the next. The promoter claimed it was because he got "too drunk".

Perhaps if contact was made bubbles wouldn't have burst and the professionalism of the artist wouldn't have been bought into question.
Responsabilities for your actions.
If its a personal issue/reason for them to return home so suddenly then it'll come out in the wash. But can't blame people for getting abit heated, some folk were really looking forward to the 16bit nights. I know the promoters here in auckland have been working their asses off (same for the whole country but since I live in auckland you hear more about it ya know)

This.
Act like a professional and get treated like one. Don't and yeah well, people create threads on a public forum about you not being one.

You don't air dirty laundry in public. Might as well skip out on gigs yourself at that rate. If they are unprofessional, spread the word to promotors. Random people on this forum that don't book DJs or release records don't need to know the behind the scenes shit. Fucked up shit like this happens all the time and we never hear about it. Big name DJs miss gigs all the time and we never hear about it. Sometimes is can be prevented, sometimes it cannot. Sometimes it's the fault of the artist, sometimes not.
Regardless, this is not the place. I don't even fucking like 16bit.
Now the professionalism of the promotor is questionable, get me?

Not really - as those comments were made by punters, not promoters.

Fair enough, I stand corrected. The statement about how it doesn't belong here, outside of the press releases which are warranted totally, stands.

ive been involved with touring international artists across new zealand and australia for 3 years and have toured the USA, NEW ZEALAND, ASIA Myself
if they have a resonable excuse for there actions, so be it.. but you dont go screwing promoters out of thousands of dollars within 24 hours of a gig without a backlash im afraid
this sort of thing can be crippling to a small scene, and it should not be stood for

Didn't want to have to post on here about this, but after reading this thread we have to put things straight.
Our tour has been completely mis-managed from the start and has resulted in us spending money to get around to play the shows. This isn't a problem and we were happy to do that just because we love traveling and playing shows anyway. BUT
We found out that our agency has been collecting massive fees from the promoters (we won't disclose figures on here but it shocked us) which are completely unjustifiable given that we were actually spending money to make this tour happen. Having spoken to them about this and being unable to resolve the situation we could not continue working with them and regrettably can't play the final 3 shows of the tour.
We feel fucking bad for the promoters that paid out to the agency and won't get a show, hopefully they can, and we encourage them to, recoup the money from the agency.

What annoys me, is that there are people (DJ's) who would kill for gigs of this stature & the fact that certain artists choose to continuously no show for bookings.
Maybe there is a legitimate reason for 16 Bit not showing on this particular occasion & if this is true then fair does.
Having said, it can be difficult when touring, all sorts of issues, both professional & personal can occur so I don't choose to think any less of any artist who comes across this issue.
However, in the case of an act that has 2 artists it must be doubly easy to get at least one of the representatives to the gig on time, surely?
Anyways, whats been said has been said now. The damage is done, But this doesn't necessarily mean that this artist WILL no show for any of their further dates

@ Funk Eh: I didn't say it was right of someone (whoever it was) to make this thread but its here now and people are reading/talking so thats why I said what I did. Anyway laundry was aired with 16bit's post.
That sucks for the 16bit boys to get fucked over like that, you don't travel halfway round the world just to go home. Hopefully works out better next time you may decide to head down under. And I hope you do, you had lots of people amping to see you guys play

I don't post a lot and this is a good example of why. I always been a firm believer in if you don't have something nice to say just shut the fuck up. There's no point in getting riled up over much of anything. Why jump to conclusions just because something didn't go exactly as you hoped or planned for? Shit happens all the time that can't be controlled. That's life.
All this bitching and negative lately (this thread, Borgore, etc.) you would think I was back at Dogsonacid all over again. Let it gooooooo.
