Max/MSP and Live are two different platforms: Max is an audio programming platform, Live is a DAW. nobody's playing catch-up with anybody.
also, I'm waiting on the iPad. if TouchOSC is ported to it, you can have a Lemur-lite for a lot less money...

Well nothing is being ported to the iPad, the OS is compatible with all itouch/phone apps. But ya I agree with you the iPad will be forced a small pricetag which is the better deal.
