"Tired of playing other people's music?"

Re: Oh my god, please NO!
I can't really get worked up over this. Either people will manage to make something good and interesting using it, in which case there's more good and interesting around, or they'll make something boring and uninspired, in which case I'll ignore them.

Hi Fellas,
Thomas here. I'm the marketing guy for beatelite.com. First off, I always appreciate forums for their candidness and this one is definitely no exception. I'm mostly posting just to say thank you. No really, we value and listen to all feedback -regardless of how we get it. We're here to grow and learn as we do something new. We strive to make our message appropriate and relevant. If it's not, we'll adjust it or take a new route altogether - no pride here. I see a lot of you feel the "make music fast" image seems to make the idea seem too canned or 'paint by numbers'. We were a bit concerned about it coming across that way so it's good to hear some other's opinion on it. We take full responsibility and we'll see if we can come up with something that might fit the bill a bit better. Thanks for that!
As for the template concept, we definitely realize that it won't work for everyone and we are 1000% OK with that. We have heard everything from "Who the F*** are you and why the F***would anyone buy a template???" to "this is the best idea ever". Lucky for us, we get more of the latter. We knew getting into this, we would get some people upset and draw a lot of criticism from the "purists". We're definitely OK with that too. While our templates (like sample packs, midi packs, software, you name it) are designed to help people get started, provide a shortcut through work-flow, or even to be used as a learning tool, It's not a replacement for talent or creativity- we would like to believe people could figure that out. However, we still do our best never to insinuate otherwise. If you feel we are, please voice it- we're listening. I'm sure you would all agree- there are plenty of tools to make you sound good-but takes work to be good. Like Slothrop said, either people will make something good with them, or they won't.
Looking forward to any constructive feedback.
