Today when i was at my mates, he was playing Chase & Status and various other "dubstep remixes" from youtube and i was just criticising every one until he just stopped.

My mates put alot of awful dubstep on. Doorly, Nero, Cragga (i think he is called), Mt Eden ect. Don't let it bother me though, its not even the same genre now really is it..

Exactly, with all the novelty remixes etc in terms of musicality theres more in common between that sort of stuff and donk than with the other dubstep.

Yup. I'm helping my friend out by letting him use my tt's to learn how to dj. He comes down and plays all that crap and I kind of just sit around with my finger's in my ears.

I'm hoping one of these producers he keeps ripping off takes serious offence to him and he gets his come-uppance one of these days. Allow Chase and Status though. I don't care how popular they are, their tunes are aiiight.

I prefer the lamers to listen to Mt Eden. I can sit back in my world with Distance, Scuba, and Appleblim on my stereo. Not gonna hear any frat guys running around with "Distance - Beyond" as a ringtone.

I was at a party couple of months ago, all the people that done drugs and listened to 'dubstep' and shit hijacked a tiny bedroom. I was jamming with them for a bit and I decided to plug in my ipod, put on some Toddla T or something then I had some guy snatch the jack of me and put on Caspa. Then some girl was going on about having to put on Borgore because here friend couldn't make it and that was his favourite artist. I felt like I was in hell. Sitting in a room listening to Borgore on repeat really stoned is awful.

Quite true, but they are defacing the name of dubstep. I guess I will have to get over it.

first thing that pops up when searching dubstep on youtube.
hayze99 wrote:Yup. I'm helping my friend out by letting him use my tt's to learn how to dj. He comes down and plays all that crap and I kind of just sit around with my finger's in my ears.
my friend decided to start spinning so i let him do that, had to hear borgore/cragga/mt eden for 2-3 hours. he no longer gets to spin here lol

edit: he actually got a gig even though he has no experience Djing (long story), but at the gig he was even playing youtube rips, saying he rendered them into 320's so its okay. half his tracks weren't even released yet, and were 2 minute clips from mixes. i wanted to kill myself because of the pain :(
