What you could do is run windows 7 on the MacBook, my colleague has done that and DAMN!

That's what I do, latest 15" macbook pro with windows 7 installed with boot camp.

I have to say though, OP you're a moron for just buying a computer without doing any research before hand. It sounds like you bought a mac on a whim because it was shiny.

Now everyone always shouts 'mac mac mac' on hardware discussions and I'm normally on the PC side ... well now I have become 'one of them'.

Why did you change to a Mac if you think PCs are better? Were you just arguing for PCs without knowing what you were talking about?

Logic is one of the best reasons to use a Mac. However, I prefer ableton which is available for PC as well. It's personal taste. Buying a mac won't help you make good music, you can make good music with any software if you're talented enough.

If you want to run some of your old Windows apps and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty, look into Wine.

best thing i've learnt for mac is cmd+shift+t reopens recently closed tabs in Chrome
