This is a set of 4 tracks. All were done in that sort of old-school Nintendo style. It's not strictly 8-bit and I used more than 3 channels. And there's a lot of effects. But I figure most people will still get the nostalgic aesthetic regardless of that.

They were made for a friend's air hockey game. I did some research and noticed most old air hockey games went with that weird funky chilled out 8-bit jazz kinda theme. So I decided to do something a little different and go completely over the top and write some proper insane montages in the style of the Top Gun Movies or the Rocky movies. The names of the tracks reflect that as well I think. In so much that I made most of the names ridiculously OTT too.

Anyway, they're mostly pretty short. Lasting no more than around a minute. Most of them are going to be looped or edited by the guy making the game.

First track in the set: "I Was Made To Play This Game" is meant to be used for a main menu, where you decide the options of the game and what difficulty mode to play on. So it's tempo is pretty low by comparison to the others. I listen to Steve Vai all day to get me in the mood to write some solos.

Second track in the set: "Ultimate Victory! (The Greatest Kind Of Victory)" Is like a sort of epic style Nintendo montage for when you're actually playing the game. Tempo got kicked up a bit and it's a bit more active.

Third track in the set: "Don't Give Up! Finish What You've Started!" is a track for when you pause the game and decide to exit. Pretty simple. Does that typical slow down kinda thing like most games do when you give up.

The final track in the set, with by far the most ridiculous name of all: "Super Ultra Hidden Secret Track Only Unlocked By Beating Life On Hard Mode" is just a little bonus I made out of an intro from one of the other tracks.

Anyway, I'd love to hear what you guys think :)

EDIT: Yea, I'll get a listen to everything in here later when I get the chance. Can't play music atm because my sister's giving a piano lesson in the other room.

This one's odd, I feel like I wrote a dubstep tune (it's a wip still) but I know nobody else will see it that way. It's kind of a melancholic ambient and hopefully interesting tune. I didn't want to cheap out or get lazy on this one so I really put in a fair portion of my all so far. It's still not fully complete but I've put a lot of work into this one the string parts especially those little rises. I don't really know where it came from or how I came about writing it. I was really depressed when it came together. Writing this one nearly destroyed me - so it's going to suck if people think it's shit :(
