Okay seriously dubsac you know me man n I try n give you good advice, n all these people telling you to hit sync when you are trying to learn this properly are really pissing me off.five-ohh-what wrote:sync tempo press play on down beat imediatly press synce again song is now beat matchedDubSac wrote:yea- thats what im doing now- but is there any way i can tell if i beatmatched it right b4 i fade it in?

Dont tell him to cheat you fuckers.
Just cause you can make your PC be the DJ for you doesnt mean you should. Sync is one step away from coming into a party and putting your mixtape in the CDJ and miming (Mt. Eden) so stfu you should all be ashamed if your calling yourself DJs off the sync button...
REAL djs use thier ears to cue the track comin in in the headphones dubsace, and this is what your lacking man. You can do two things to learn properly, neither of them are gonna be quite what your looking for but here goes.
1. You can leave the crossfade open slightly while you practice matching. This wont work if you want to record though. So problem.
2. buy an audio interface which will support cueing.
dont let your eyes become your instincts man.
You want to universally be able to hop on any old rig and beatmatch some shit up with nothing but phones n the fader. The only way to tell if things are matched before cutting your fader open is going to be to be able to HEAR them before you do.
The longer you try and practice matching by looking at waveforms, the deeper into that pit your going to dig yourself, and eventually, your gonna cave and hit sync.
Get a cue system.
Quickly.
