I am. I have wanted to make some house for a long ass time but I am always focused on the sound of the moment. Currently though I don't want to be tied down to any sound so it's the perfect time to mess around with some 130. I like the results and am having fun but I haven't had the time to finish any of it yet. This is one I got a good start on.

Soundcloud

I hated Funky at first but all of a sudden I am liking a lot of releases. Now if I could only find a spot to dj some of it. Still kinda amongst the DNB crowd locally I don't think they would be to appreciative if I started dropping Funky all the time heh

Deep House and Bruk producer here. :t:

I have releases under the name Tone Scientist for some bruk kinda stuff and coming with a new release as Serious Intent for the super deep house kind of stuff.

A lot of the stuff I produce is in 120 - 125 tempo.

Cheers.

House music is for gay lords...

And by that I mean 'I can't write house'.

I don't know why, but i've never really liked house music. There's something about it which just puts me off, and I can't work out what. Obviously there is the odd song I like, but on a whole im not a fan of the genre. Never mind eh.

Sorta moving that way, but still feel two and half step beats. I find it hard to make a dope house beat, sorta ends up sounding meh; whereas with other patterns I'm more happy. Love listening to it. Sure I'll get into though. As long as it has bass, and is between 80 and 180BPM I can feel it.

I'm writing house at 111bpm at the moment (I know not really traditional speed) I enjoy it! Its quite a nice genre to produce.

I just finished a funky inspired house track (in the sig) and it was really fun to make.

Getting the arrangement right is the hardest thing - With dubstep theres a sort of dynamic narrative of atmos - bass - melody that tells the story but house is much more repetitive and needs to change at just the right time or it either gets boring or rambles off into the distance.

I spent quite a lot of time looking at other arrangements befoe I felt I was getting somewhere.

Pretty chuffed now tho ... a good learning process.

At the end of the day House is the foundation of the electronic music that we know today as a million genres ... you got to get in touch with that if you really want to understand EDM's evolution.

The tracks about the snow day we had last winter - I think its the first Summer house tune inspired by snow :t:

while we're here, i'm just gonna post this vid. This, (for my tastes anyway), is pretty much the most perfectly produced house beat i've ever heard. so simple, so rolling :D

Go to YOU Tube and search Addison Groove Footcrab and then search for Baltimore Footwork Dancing
Blew my mind

And at first it may sound a bit meh? But when you crack it up on a system it comes ALIVE!

^ argh beat me to it, but I'm posting anyway

That Footcrab tune is a dubstep take on Juke. It's usually at around 160bpm though, have a look on YouTube. Haven't a clue what Bruk is though! lol.

'bruk' is what Altered Natives has been calling his breaksy house sounds lately. That, or brukstep, or tenement yard
